I don't understand the concept of a hamburger without beetroot, and fried onion with vinigar. Without those, it's just a rissole on a bun.

The funny thing about McDonalds is that Aussies hate their 'pickles', and in the early years they wouldn't serve them without the pickles, so it became a national sport to flick pickles at the windows of McDonalds, and even now when you can ask for no pickles, many people just get them to flick at the windows.

Oven chips too. Less than 5% fat and everything. As an accountant, I don't see the payback on spending hours and £££s on a meal you eat in 15 minutes. I am a bit posh though. For example, I love jelly sweets, but definitely prefer Maynards Wine Gums and M&S soft fruit gums to Tesco ones.

Beetroot crisps: buy raw beetroot, slice them very thin with a mandolin (awaiting silly comments on that!) or speed peeler, deep fry in oil 'til done, they crisp up more whilst cooling, sprinkle with Maldon Salt......voila.

There's a couple of things that I can't substitute for cheaper versions, ketchup & beans have got to be Heinz & crumpets have got to be Warbies. Not fussed when it comes to wine, it can't be over £6 though. It used to be a £5 rule but Sandra made me feel bad.

There are non-animal gelatin sweeties out there, a lot of the Haribo range are suitable for Veggies.

Rovette was doing a healthy eating outreach event with local school pupils today. She was explaining that there is a lot of sugar in sweets, and they have a packet of haribo as a visual aid. One of the kids expressed surprise, straight-faced, that the little fried egg didn't have much protein in. Kind of cute, I thought.

Kind of learning disability I think.

Anyone know out about abdominal migraine

I suspect my 6 year old suffers with it. He often (at least once a month) complains of tummy ache, he gets very pale & very sleepy. We've taken him to see a GP, but the symptoms have gone before we can get an appointment & it usually gets put down to a tummy bug. A couple of times we've had him at A&E were again we've had different diagnosis', anything from a virus to a suspected appendicitis. Sometimes he's in pain for an hour or so but other times it can be almost all day.

Mainly occurs in children, usually a history of migraines in the family. Symptoms tummy ache,tummy cramps,some-times vomiting, usually last a day or two, most consultants believe anxiety/stress can trigger an episode.

My daughter who Is 12 for the past 3 months has had episodes of vomiting which knocks her out for 2-3 days they put it down to reflux she gets a sign bout an hour before bin sick like a migraine attack it's a really bizarre condition, she gonna see a specialist are they treating ur little un

My daughters is more vomiting she gets it first thing in a morning prob two three times a month they can put them on beta blockers can't they, it's quite a distressing condition

Not sure what they would prescribe, it could be a variety of things, good news is she is seeing a consultant so I am sure they will sort it for her asap, bless her I hope she gets treated quickly.

It's hard to say if he gets any sign before hand, he turned 6 last Oct so he's a bit young to recognise a pattern himself. It usually starts with him being really lethargic, even first thing in a morning after a full nights sleep. He then starts complaining of tummy ache, which can be quite severe sometimes, he get deathly pale & usually falls to sleep for a couple of hours straight. He can be sick with it sometimes but not always. We've never had a proper diagnosis, but when he was really young a doc suggested that it could be Abdominal Migraines but he was too young for the doc to be sure.

I do feel for you, it's awful to see them in pain & not know whats actually causing it. It's good she's seeing a specialist, hopefully you can get some answers & get I sorted.

It certainly sounds Like ur little boy has it come to think of it my daughter as complained for a few years and was on reflux meds for two so it's like u say it's hard to get diagnosed isn't it
