The 25 year-old prop forward left the Dons for Leigh Centurions in 2009 when the club was in financial difficulties. However, he only played four games for the Centurions under Ian Millward as he was unable to relocate to Lancashire due to a number of factors. />
Castle, who had been with the Dons since 2005, had a brief spell at York City Knights last season and has recently been plying his trade with local outfit Fryston Warriors. />
The Castleford born forward said: "It's a good feeling to be back at Doncaster and I'm really looking forward to the start of the new season. />
"It's going to be a massive year for the Dons and I believe we can really push for promotion and get back into the Championship. />
"I'd like to thank Tony (Miller) for giving me the opportunity to come back to the club and I hope I can repay him on the pitch and help the club get to where they want to be." />
Head coach Tony Miller said: "Mark's a big, tough, no nonsense prop who gets you on the front foot and drives the team forward. />
"I thought our pack was one of the strongest in the league and Mark's signing has further strengthened it. />
"I'm thrilled to have him back at the club and I'm sure our fans and supporters will be as equally thrilled to see him back in a Dons strip." |

I'm happy with that, I always liked Mark, he took the ball in directly with conviction. />
Weren't there some training/fitness issues?
If he is fit and committed (and that's down to Miller) he will be great for us. |

I started a thread about Mark a while ago and wondered whether getting him back might be a possibility. />
This is definitely a big step in the right direction. Mark is good enough to at least play in the league above; consequently the type of player who can help move us forward. />
I hope the training issues (reported previously) don't become an issue. />
