Im only a kid so I've just got into the real ale thing, let's be honest the stereotype is older folk with a beer gut! But I found that I don't get all the bloatedness that comes with drinking lager, rarely drink lager now. />
I had a really nice one last night I thought but can't remember what it was called. />

Ventured into the Old Angel and the Gatehouse last night. />
Sampled a couple of brews in the Old Angel that by coincidence were both 5.0%, Arkells Kingsdown Special Ale and the very nice Daleside Bobek Export. />
In the Gatehouse it was (the somewhat disappointing) Hyde's Heads & Tails 4.6% and (the much more palatable) Three B's Pinch Noggin, also 4.6%. |

Having taken it steady for a few days, I made up for lost time yesterday. First of all, apologies to Gary, because I had a rather nice pint of Courage Directors in Rotherham, together with, in no particular order, Nick Stafford's Starters Orders, a deceptively bitter golden ale but very tasty for all, that.Nick Stafford's splendid Stallion, the wonderful Daleside Premium Gold, Milestone' s Somers' cloudless wheat beer, Old Peculier, which were both in in excellent form and rounded the day off with a similarly excellent pint or several of Acorn Barnsley Gold at the Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham. />
