This is an opportunity to end the season in good form. No disrespect to Gateshead but we should be able to put in a good performance and rattle up a few points. I see no reason why we can not win all our remaining games.

Watching yesterday, I felt that we should win the home games (we are certainly a good few points better at home) but thought we might struggle in South Wales. TBF though the Scorpions are somewhat unpredictable so who knows?

The lads should be able to enjoy themselves against Gateshead.

Looking forward to it.

To finish the season with 3 or 4 wins from 4 would be brilliant to finish on a high and head on to next season regardless if we make the play offs or not.

Bovill, Butterfield, Colton, Crawley & Jones all doubtful having missed training with injuries this week. Watson (as stated earlier) out for the season.

Skybet ... Dons -36pts 10/11 on the Handicap Betting (they are also 1/500 in the win market).

Hills (in line with Ladbrokes) -38pts but only 5/6.

It's been a while since I've seen odds like that in favour of the Dons!



It makes me feel uneasy

I felt a bit sorry for Gateshead. They are obviously struggling. They didn't really

show up today but they didn't give up and were still trying to score right up to the hooter.

I like Gateshead. I hope they can keep going this season and re-group under Pelly for next

season and come back competitive.



But we've been there, we know how that feels and today was our turn to run 60+ past

somebody and it felt GREAT !!

Went on a whim today and it was a very good result, but in fairness I've seen better amateur sides than Gateshead. I hope they survive because they were one of the clubs who were cast aside by the great merger swindle but results like today against a very ordinary side like ours cant bode well.

However , we were treated to some great tries in the second half.

There were some good performances by Dons players, notably Henry, Dobek, Lunt and Kesik.

Wouldn't it be nice to keep these players for next season???

Good team performance, happy to see us keep Gateshead scoreless.

Lunt, Henry and Butterfield stands outs in a alround team performance.

With the South Wales result, we now seem a long shot for the play off, would be nice to finish of a steady season with a couple of wins tho.

A good result, if not totally unexpected when considering that Gateshead have conceded 284 points in their previous 4 games. The big fat ZERO against Thunders name though was a massive positive and testament to the desire of the 17 on duty not to allow their line to be breached.



Many good performances today ... Henry, Colton, Fawcett, Dobek & Lunt immediately spring to mind but having been somewhat critical of Mick Butterfield's second half performance against London Skolars, I have to admit to being very impressed by him today. More than happy to be honest in the interest of balance and fair play.

I do wonder if we've seen the last of Tommy Griffiths and Danny Stanley though.



And whatever happened to Liam Brown?

Would be a shame, both have served us well, but i have to admit i prefer Butterfield to Griffiths at full back.

Like Danny, all things equal would have him in my 17 most weeks, but i dont see what goes off at training etc?



Isnt Brown out for season, with shoulder injury?
