Is it true Widnes have signed Wakefield Trinity Wildcats & London Broncos reject Jarrod Hickey to fill up their quota?



I hope he is in better shape than when he played for WTW. The guy is about 6ft 5 and 20 stone but 5 of it last time I saw him was around his stomach. He must be in last chance saloon for playing Super League.

That's the rumour. We are getting pretty desperate for props right now, so it's probably true. To be honest, we're just getting pretty desperate.

London fan here........Hickey never played for us as we screwed up over the quota spots. Felt sorry for the guy as it would seem he worked hard in training to get back into shape. We were having to pay him because it was the Broncos mistake, but he came to an agreement and left us a few weeks ago......it was rumoured then he was on his way back to Oz. The Wakefield fans did not give him good reviews when he came to us. It would have been good to a fit Hickey get a run out at London (he is a big unit as Stevo would say), but was not to be.
