Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. Quoteyossarian="yossarian"Conceding 36 points at home, disgraceful, sack Betts now.......

Trouble is we've got to start doing it against our rivals. It's all very well and good turning up for the big games but we make our own fans more and more despondent by going down meekly against the teams we're meant to be competing with.
Betts has a long way to go to convince me he's got it but credit where it's due, today we did the job.
For me, we had a plan of attack and looked far more organised in defence.
There have to be one or two players that should hold their hand up for some of the tries we conceeded. Marsh had his man wrapped up before dropping off and I'm not sure what Clarke was doing.
But let's look at this...
From a defensive point of view we looked good defending on our line on a couple of sets, Briscoe has definitely shored things up there.
We had different Phases of attack!!!! We actually set ourselves up a couple of times with players joining the line and we had a couple of dummy runners too.
At one point we went down by 18 points in the second half and yet our team spirit carried us through to score an unanswered 19 points.
Definitely onwards and upwards.
More of the same and there's definitely room for improvement still in defence in the upcoming weeks but we will take a few more scalps yet before the season has finished.
