Massively relieved to get the 2 points tonight, but WTF was Bentham doing, that has to be one of the most inept performances I've seen since Fred Lindop took to the field, Bentham was criminally incompetent, and yet more evidence that the reason we as a game are being held back is directly linked to crass officiating.



Forget expanding rugby league to the nether regions, we need to make sure we have officials who understand and can implement the rules first, otherwise we really are up Shiites creek without a paddle.

I might be in the minority here, but aside the Houghton incident I didn't think the ref had a bad game.

You were spot on about Catalan, good through the middle but their defence is poor once you get to the 2nd row/centre areas (although I thought Taia had a good game, felt a bit sorry for him).

I thought he still looked fairly lame, but then he did break quite well on one occasion. Wasn't moving comfortably, though.

first 15-20 minutes we looked clueless, we needed a bit of luck and got it as we probably wouldn't have gone in 22-10.

Maybe. But given the apalling hash he made of just about every aspect of the game I'm not inclined to give him the BoD.

I know people don't like to give credit to Yeaman but I was pleased to see him pass the ball to his winger. He was so surprised that he fell over. Who says you can't teach an old dog the basics? Well done to the coaching staff and Kirk, keep it up.

If you expect to see a game were nobody makes a mistakes then I have watched for over 50yrs and still waiting for that to happen.When any side play as poor like we did in the second half against Leeds then they deserve all the flack. Last night we saw a great effort from the lads against a very physical Catalan side with no help from the ref and for me it it showed the players and staff have the determination and skill to produce wins. Dont get me wrong one swallow does not make a summer but it helps.
