Tony Smith took Rovers to 11th in his first season and then 11th in his second season. Do you have the patience to wait 2 years to see improvement? I doubt it, you'll have sacked him by then.



Honestly I strongly advise you to stay clear. When he first joined Rovers it really felt like he was doing us a favour and he loved that. He is great while everyone is giving him love and affection but he really doesn't take criticism well at all. He ended up refusing to speak firstly to the CEO and then to Danny McGuire the very man who was instrumental in bringing him to Craven Park.



As for Stanley Gene if you are going to give him a big pay rise which no doubt you are, I'd say good luck Stanley you deserve it.
