I don't know if we can afford to re-sign Shaul to a contract with doubts over his ability to recover from the injury - if he is out for a year, I think it would be wrong to commit a large salary to him, especially when we need to find someone to replace him for 2021

And Evalds never gets injured.

Maybe Watson will bring Kevin Brown with him to win things

Nothing to do with injuries.Simply he is a far better full back than Shaul.

The club could have gone for Evalds as his contract was up 2020 and not renewed Shauls

All sounds dodgy to me - Yes it would be to dump him after many years service but it sounds to me like theyre announcing the contract by the back door as they know quite a few think he should be let go

I must be cynical too because I'm the same I'd be saying unlucky but it is what it is.

And this is why we'll never be a top club

If there is any playing budget to play with, do we get another forward in, or pick up someone who can cover 1 and 6?

Or leave things as they are, and cover internally by giving Wynne / McNamara a run?
