Fitz to replace Kearney, Berro possibly replaced Swain now he has good pros around him, but Mcmenemy, no one, he was a cultured second rower good hands,kicking game,vision and decent tackling game very difficult to replace, as is mentioned very underated.

But we are still very positive for this season so lets not it slip, and really get behind the team from the first minute, especially seeing who the opposition are.

The loyalty and patience of the FC fans over the last two seasons has been remarkable. None of us can wait for the season to start and I'm sure we'll all be 100% behind the team. But now it really is time for that loyalty and patience to be rewarded. I don't expect to win any trophies. I don't even expect to get to any finals. What I do expect is performances full of pride, passion and committment. I expect the players to play like it means as much to them as it does to us. If I get this I will be happy.

If the players give the same commitment to Hull F.C. as the fans,it will be a great season.

imo i can see berro having his best season this year with more leaders on the park the pressure will be lifted off his shoulders, giving him more of a free role

I expect us to make the play-offs and will be happy with that, but believe anyone who is expecting e.g. a top four finish or some silverware is being over optimistic and is likely to be disappointed.

TBH I expect nothing less than a stuttering start as they get used to each other etc etc but I also expect a real seige mentality to evolve very quickly afterwards with no one wanting to play us !!

I too am optomistic; the squad looks good, the noises coming out are positive and nobody seems to be injured. Let's see how optomistic I am after Saints have thumped us in Round 1!

I feel we have every reason to be optimistic for the coming season. We definately have the go forward sorted for next season with decent backup forwards. The only concern is in the halfbacks for me.



Even though we have little experience if we get injuries in the wings and centres i feel those positions are the least of our worries. The fact is these last couple of seasons we could have stuck a couple of mannequins on each wing and they would have performed just as well due to seeing no action except in defense.



We have some genuine leaders on the field now and lets hope Long is grooming a someone to step up to the plate if he suffers with an injury.



I will be happy if the players show pride in the shirt and play like they want to win, regardless of where we finish.

Agree with all of the above....but cant help worring about injuries...If we can keep key players fit we will be a force next season without a doubt!!
