We have an injury crisis of epic proportions every season it seems.



Surely our training, pre season and conditioning needs looking at to see if anythings amiss.

Like you i would play Barron on the wing and move McIntosh to centre where he has played well when needed

Move Wynne back to centre .Griffin is hiding in the centre and at least if he is on the wing we can give him more work coming out of backfield.

I still have Hull as favourites despite the bans, due to Gale, McNamara and Mau returning.



That could change during the week depending on any loan deals done and players declared fit by either team.

What an absolute farce the game of RL is becoming. The bans are getting beyond a joke especially Ligi who did little different to players that kick their legs up to try and get a quick ptb yet Austin throws himself on the floor to try and win a penalty. Moore saw nothing wrong and key play go on yet Sao gets a retrospective ban. Can’t honestly remember seeing anything untoward from Evans or Johnstone for that matter certainly not to warrant 2 games. Possibly opportunity for Severs, Stavely and Burrell.



So the RFL with their magic spectacle is now looking like it’s going to be an embarrassing closing game due to injuries and unwarranted suspensions.



No wonder this once great game is on its and dying before our eyes.

That's not far off full strength as far as I can see, challenge cup winners Shaul and Bowden filling a couple of gaps. You've beaten us before with weaker teams!

After such a show I’d be tempted to be ruthless and send a message out and drop Houghton, Taylor, Griffin and maybe eve. Shaul and give the youth an opportunity. We don’t have much to lose and in all honesty a full reserve side would have put up more if fight against Leeds.

I actually think if Hodgson did drop those 4 and put the young lads in and we did get beat most fans would accept the defeat because I know they would give 100%

Yeh I totally agree and it would at least show that he is prepared to try things and drop players no matter who they are or how many there are needing dropping.

Let’s face it the young lads certainly can’t do any worse than some of those senior players did on Saturday. I actually think we have a better chance as they will have desire which was non existent in the ones I’d drop.

How is mcintosh avoiding people's backlash ?



Handley scored 5 trys past him and he's makes a lot of errors

Hopefully although for example yesterday we has someone on here call Hookem "championship level at best".

He didn't and you would know that if you attended the game.

He’s probably avoided backlash as you say compared to others but I wouldn’t say he’s avoiding criticism as he is hit and miss and still has to prove himself but he hasn’t been as woeful as the old stagers who have form for poor performances.



He looks shaky confidence wise currently but there is no leader on the field or seemingly in the playing group.



While Handley scored 5 tries they weren’t all past or down to McIntosh

Sao is a big blow, not bothered about the other two. Evans is ok, but not worst a quota spot IMO.

Come off it defensively he's awful

It wont happen but i agree with you.Most fans would accept effort even in defeat.

To be honest the two clubs should play as many younger players as possible and stick two fingers up to the RFL for giving us the last game on Sunday

So if we now accept Evans is poor,McIntosh pretty average then apart from Lovodua it highlights Just how bad Hodgsons recruitment has been.

Question is do we really want him to head the recruitment for next season

The effort myth is nonsense



Sport is about winning end of



A team loses 5 or 6 on the bounce there getting stick no matter about the "effort"



This is professional sport not under 6 sports day

He's operated on a shoe string since he's got here.

He should get a shot to try and mould his team.

Reynolds the most expensive overseas signing we have made

Evans when he plays, wont be cheap extremely average

Gale hopefully short term but a failure and probably on a good wage

McIntosh again wont be cheap thought he had potential but looking like a very average S/L player

Lovodua by far the best of the bunch
