| The naivety of some posters on here is quite breathtaking.
Lack of.....if there was......reaction of players is down to numerous reasons.
Believe me when I say that 'there will be payback' coming to sissy welham.
If you believe that ALL Hull FC players are ready to pat sissy welham on his back and congratulate him....your seriously deluded.

All? You might want to rethink that.
TBF it was a great take of a difficult kick and he got the full force of a big hit. Hadn't done much wrong up to then (and knocking on while out cold is hardly crime of the century), so I'm happy to give him another chance if SuperWade is out

| Quote airliebird, runninglate!="airliebird, runninglate!"don't understand this thinking! he's always played in a struggling team on a troublesome right side for us! and on few times he's played in games that should have been good for him ie wakefield at home last year the team pull out unbelievably bad performances! can't have been on a winning hull team more than a couple of times! none of the young uns could have shown up much better in my opinion based on seeing a lot of 20s last year home and away! jack was moved from full back at that level long ago never mind first team. a winger now. horne at least needs a chance to strike a proper half back combo with seymore, and whiting offers nothing more as a full back that a safe pair of hands! and even he prone to odd errors! would be agar style negativity putting whiting there, especially since even he sees himself as a 2nd row! since i've seen reece at 1 albeit at 20s level i find it ludicrous to write someone off for a ten min display were they did nothing wrong apart from lose a ball after been knocked out!'"
Everytime ive seen him play for the main team he has been very ordinary and the way people rave about him I just cannot see how it can be justified. And im surprised why they have put him at fb instead of the wing. He really needs to go on loan and get proper rugby instead of the u20's what aint doing him any good at all.

| Can you imagine the Hull team the night before the good friday derby.
All sat round a table with the lights dimmed chanting and adding pins to this mock Krissy Welham doll.

| I have no problem with Welham hitting Lynn as he catches the ball, it was a good hit and well timed. The only issue I have is the possiblity of an elbow been used in the tackle.
As for Lynn, he had a good first team debut at full back and anyone would have dropped the ball in that type of tackle, maybe he should have jumped or turned away with the ball to put him in a better position not to get smashed like that but this is all part of the learning process for him, i'd rather him learn that lesson in a friendly instead of a SL match, costing us the game.

when he's played im not sure what he could of done to stand out! played 1st team a few times now must be about a dozen and can't once remember someone putting him away on the outside or an attacking kick for him to challenge for! pretty much been restricted to carrying the ball out of dummy half deep in our half! would play him in 20s for 1st month or so get some tries confidence and running in his legs. cos only just getting over a double op on same leg! but then agree needs to play at a higher level. 20s is dire at times!

| Reece really needs to go out on loan to a championship side to develop. The under 20's are not giving him enough of a challange for him to progress. a season playing full time at say featherstone or a similar team will allow him to gain much needed experience.

Sissie Welham is a coward.
Every player on that pitch knows that the coward had 2 choices on how to hit an obviously open opposition player who could not defend himself.
1. Wipe him out with the intent to cause as much damage as possible or
2. Simply wait and see if the falling opponent tries to get up and continue (he had caught the ball)
THE GUYS A W4NKER...as proven by his continuous childish displays.
Wounder if he gets an injury so he can't play against us in the SL match.

Thanks, that settles a few questions.
First, the hit was nowhere near the head.
However the first point of contact could well have been with the elbow but it isn't clear and play on, unfortunately, was the correct decision.
What makes me laugh are the pathetic dobbins somehow claiming this a proof that Welham can now tackle. Because Lynne was essentially stationary and unable to protect himself he offered the ultimate free hit, which he paid for. Come the regular season when his targets are moving Welham will be back to his turnstile best and making another run at SL's leading missed tackle title.
As for Lynne, he will play this entire season as a teenager, an age when most players haven't even made their 1st team debuts - those "fans" writing him off are rather premature to say the least.

| This thread is madness
Welham is a good player he scores plenty, however his defense needs to improve and be consistent, he put a good hit on Lyne however one swallow does not make a summer!
He has to follow that kind of defense up against seasoned RL players!! if he can improve in defense he should be in line for an International call up.

| Lynne played in a dire team for pretty much all of his 1st team appearances, in fact his kick and chase at the death against Crusaders winning us the penalty (that Ticks knocked off to the anger of camel gob) when a draw would have been a disaster got us those 2 points.
Some people are just AS bad as Agar, giving up on a young lad when he's had bugger all chance to shine. Hope some of you are able to give your own kids more of a shot in their lives without farming them out at the mearest hint of non performance to another family in the hope they might 'improve'

So by your way of thinking, Lynne also had two choices, get out of the way or stand his ground. He stood his ground because he is a rugby league player, and although he came off worse, fair play to him. If you don't like this collision stuff, why don't you take your voice of reason and go watch golf or something. You are coming across as a bit of a tart to be honest.

I wish our players would show some aggressions towards the Rovers players.
I'm fed up of our players making things easy for them.
But they talk about it all week prior to a Derby and then don't deliver.

The penalty count was 11-4 as it was. Given the ref's propensity to penalise us, more aggression would likely just have meant more penalties and probably a heavier defeat.

Not many of them were for foul play and if the ref is determined to penalise us he will find any method to do so.
But a bit of aggression within the laws of the game would have made me feel a bit happier.

He had a third choice.. He should have jumped to catch it thus making Whelham give away a penalty and a probable sinbin if he proceeded with the tackle.
I'm a Hull fan and didn't think it was that bad, didnt see much of the elbow and it was timed perectly. If we aren't hitting the opposition (fairly) without trying to cause damage then we are doing something wrong. I mentioned this in another thread, saying our forwards were a bit "namby pamby". Someone posted a pic of O'Meley showing how big and nasty he looked. Paea stomped all over our forwards in the friendly.
Apparently in a report Aspinwall was smashing people in training and no one wanted to train with him. He lasted 2mins on Sunday before getting knocked the f*** out by Paea who hardly noticed Aspinwall trying to tackle him. Our training must be pretty "namby pamby".
