Just a general point re: the Easter fixtures. I see eight clubs are playing on the Thursday night rather than Good Friday. Now I know it's just a day but seems unfair that the Hull clubs, Saints and Wigan don't get that option due to Sky Sports.

Who have you got on the Monday?



We usually get an away trip to Catalans on the Monday after a tough good Friday Derby but we've got lucky this time and avoided les Cats, away at Toulouse instead haha

The only way to make that fair is for us to play Wigan or Saints on Easter Monday and Rovers to play the other

I agree. It's pretty much unthinkable that we could win.

For starters it's almost 3 years since they had the bragging rights, and reclaiming them is a big priority from what I hear. Particularly with a big crowd in.

They are in superb form, with descriptions including "perfection" - the HDM talking about their "stunning ascent". By contrast we have lost the last 2 with lacklustre efforts and in addition to missing Taylor, Tuimavave, Savelio, Cator and Shaul it looks like Satae is carrying a knock. God help us if we lose any more at the disciplinary lottery tomorrow.

Rovers have home advantage of course, and could be slating "timely boost" announcements on extensions for Parcell, Minchella and maybe Smith for this week. Wouldn't be surprised to see a TB on Mikey Lewis and his injury either.

Derbies are never to be savoured, except retrospectively after a win, but this one in particular fills me with dread. Need to keep an eye on the record we set in 2019 when Kelly ran riot in the second half as Rovers will be seeking to eclipse this I reckon.

If memory serves me right I thought when the club signed Ligi it was more to play at LF but due to injuries he was used more as a prop.



Certainly need to wake up for Friday and no offence to the team but fed up of hearing how well they’ve gone in training as it’s time they showed up week in week out when it matters as in in the actual games.

Consistency is non existent.



Still seems to be when the players decide to turn up in the right frame of mind, reading too much about they turned up thinking it was going to be easy, we've had it against Castleford and Huddersfield now already.



Identify the players who turn up with the wrong frame of mind and move them on, we may then find some consistency

Given how staggeringly inconsistent we are its probably a good thing we lost on Saturday, means we're due a decent performance.

Blunderside mentioned on the coverage of our game that Mikey Lewis finished the Rovers-Cas game on crutches so I guess he'll be missing.

Not much to chance in terms of players, hopefully Carlos will finally make it and Savelio is fit.



Mitch and Johnstone to be replaced by Carlos and Lane.



Start Reynolds at 6, Lovodua at 13, then switch to hooker to rest Houghton.



Also use Lane in the backrow to give rests to Savelio and Ma'u.



Get some work out of the prop forwards.

Also target Wood and Keinhorst, Cas had plenty of joy down that side last week.

I have a horrible feeling that we will still see Johnstone in the 17 and flog Houghton for 80mins yet again even with affectively 3 hookers in the 17. I'm not sure who is responsible for the the fact we criminally under use our forwards, is it the way that BH wants us to play, do our forwards simply avoid taking the carries or is that whoever is acting half choses to by pass the forwards? What ever it is it needs resolving and quickly.

I just hope we do not see any more comments from BH or the players about how they have prepared well all week blah blah blah as its just all talk and sadly they have yet to walk the walk.



My concern with BH as Coach is that he is just too nice a guy and not ruthless enough.

I think the problem is BH doesn't see Johnstone as a hooker anymore but more as a utility player so we will probably see him on the bench again and Houghton flogged for 80 minutes.
