Echoing what others say, if we're paying a compensation for Rowley plus the recent severance packages for Hoy, Smith and Gene along with the added salary for our new DOR, the investment is surely a done deal. We seem to have suddenly got money from somewhere.

Good pick up Rowley, don’t think there’s much better domestically. Not to say there isn’t money but losing hoy and brown of the wage bill and budget probably saved 150k no? So if they aren’t replaced this year is it fair to assume it’s just putting the same money to better use?



Suppose you could argue mylers wage shows spend as well. I’m sure you’d all like more insight into that but at least he’s not sat happy about the situation and is trying to make something happen one way or another

If Rowley confirmation is confirmed, and like another forum member already posted, it's not entirely unknown for a new coach to try and bring in trusted players from his current club. No idea if Rowley would follow suit but maybe Callum Watkins, Salford captain

Good old JTP but this week has so far been pretty unbelievable but not that unbelievable!!

Think Chamberlain is a very good loan signing and certainly improves us at centre. Whilst Briscoe is in the twilight of his career and a long way from player that left us, his ability to get us out of our 20M will improve us and his experience will help the likes of Martin, Barron etc, just a shame it never really worked out here for McIntosh.



Certainly two signings that maybe are not earth shattering but ultimately they improve us in the short term and can see an awful lot of turnover between now and the start of the next preseason.

If we’re paying a fee for Rowley, I for one want him here straight away. £150,000 is a lot to pay for Salford’s loss of his services for 1 season. The Chamberlain deal is for a months loan but is it subject to an extension if it works out?

I can actually see the benefits of Rowley starting in 2025, working behind the scenes. Him not associated with this season.

Pretty sure Salford will be keen for him to depart soonest ?

Cashflow huge issue there, Dupree, Ackers & Croft all moved on in last year, cant be out of the question that he brings player(s) with him ?

Most reports seem to be saying it's an appointment for next season, not this. I would also like to have him now ideally if we are paying a fee but do feel that the club are doing the right thing in securing his services. It looks like we have identified and got our number one target, whatever it takes and however long we have to wait. I feel that is a statement of intent.

Just seen today's press conference with Adrian Lam. He wouldn't be drawn into any transfer speculation (just said Chris Chester handles all that). Mentioned that he is a fan of Darnell McIntosh, that Ed Chamberlain is still part of his plans for this season. Asked about Tom Briscoe, all he did say was that he should be fit to play in the weekend after this one, but he didn't say "He's going nowhere" which I'm guessing he would have done about certain other players.
