That's no support of your argument at all IMO, Leon Pryce played on the wing for GB and he's quite clearly a very good stand-off.

And of course Horne played in the halfs for gb.



He seems to be doing well this season.

Would suggest that your view on Horne is less about his qualities and more about your inability to spot a decent halfback.

Had a chat today with the same source who infomed me at the time we had snatched Seymour from the Bulls before it was announced...he seems to think we may sign Finch for next year....I dismissed it initially but Finch is out of contract at the end of the year...and has stated in the press this week he wants to stay in Super League but admits Wane is looking to promote young British players....not sure how much cash he would ask for or where this would leave us quota wise but in my book if we off loaded Horne personally I'd see Finch as an improvement in that position?

He in the best form we've seen for several seasons IMO. I would still look to replace him at the end of his contract, though.



I do agree with the opinion that he is not the player he once was, what I find silly is claiming he was never good in the first place.

Hornes contracted, unless somebody offers him a good 2 year deal at the end of the season I can't see him leaving.

It's ludicrous to suggest Horne was never a great half back, because he was. He is having a good season this year, better then the past few already. Open your eyes and be happy for a Hull player playing well!

Very important word is the one highlighted. He's a very good player that had a great season.

He's started the season well, but let's not be fooled, he's not good enough a halfback for a team looking to establish itself as a top 2 side. Look at the 6's of the top teams over the last few years: Briers, McGuire, Pryce, Sinfield was there most of last year for Leeds, Tomkins (when he played there)and now Finch. He's not a patch on any of those.

I think there are people on here that go a bit too far with the Horne bashing, for some reason, but he can't give us what we need anymore.

Finch would be a very good signing, would use Horne in the centres if it comes off, which i doubt as I think Wigan will keep him.



Not sure about Arundel, looks Ok in parts, but not sure he is much better than Turner, would try and sign a better quality centre from the NRL or stick with what we have in Turner and Crooks.

Agreed, and like I said a few pages ago I do think we need another 6 to take us forward to the net level. But, he's playing well this season, so I say let's get behind him until any decision regarding his future is made.

I think you'll find that I've said Whiting is an asset for a few seasons now, but you crack on responding to posters and not what they post eh.

Granted I haven't seen Wigan play that many times over the last couple of years but I can't say Finch has ever stood out to me.
