| Quote ="Jake the Peg"I was more trying to gauge if people hadn't renewed and then changed their mind after the takeover announcement.
As for rovers, if they played in a 25k capacity stadium where you could just rock up and be guaranteed a seat they wouldn't have sold so many'"
Agree, the amount of empty seats mean a season pass isn't essential at the MKM and I've sat in every stand and there simply isn't a bad view to be had in the ground.
Whereas at Craven Park seats are limited, some seats down the side have pillars in the way or can't see the try line etc so fans will renew ASAP or risk not getting in at all or having to stand.
I would imagine we have the cash to do some tickets deals now, but I'd prefer we wait for the rugby to improve first. I've lost count of many times I've depressingly seen newcomers lured in with a cheap ticket deal and the team put on a disaster class!

| I renewed (even though I said I wasn’t at the end of the season & behore the Thirkill announcement) due to the amount of change that had been done and put in to place. For me it felt totally different to the previous years and luckily financially it wasn’t problem to renew. However I do know a few that haven’t due to financial reasons and some others who want to wait and see how next season goes.
I agree with what others have said about ourselves vs KR in that the fact they are limited on capacity means that naturally they will have a bigger uptake initially due to simple supply and demand first and foremost so you simply can not compare the two.

| The feeling amongst the believers the none believers annoyed and frustrated alike that I speak to has been generally buoyed by the announcement last week and I think that we really missed a trick not reinstating a temporary return to the discount scheme for say a week after the forum. They could have announced it that night and I think they would have gained some more sales myself.

| 6500 passes sold, likely still puts us behind last year buts it hard to say as we didn't have an early cheap price deadline last time. Club saying they have had an upturn in sales since last week though.

| My daughter has been nagging me for a pass, so I think I can stretch to £1 and get her one under the junior members offer.
She went to 3 games last season, one of them was Smith's last game in charge, the other 2 were the wins against Leeds and Wigan

| Direct debit rolls over for three of us living in Leeds, parking pass will be renewed and got to say I am pretty excited about the takeover and the years ahead.
Now the games are on a Saturday / Sunday it make the commute easier on the M62, the goole flyover is hopefully finished after two years of delays, can do the journey in an hour from Pudsey.
2016/2017 seems a long time ago but I am convinced the last 4 years debacle is over.
We have to improve our home win record at the stadium, less than 50% since 2005 is shocking.

| Got my oldest grandson a pass for a quid. Plenty of people doing the same but while I was there yesterday and today new members joining and others renewing. Think the season’s pass sales are going to surprise some and one certain poster is going to have egg on his chin AGAIN

I know that Hull have a lot of loyal fans and if you add the kids for £1 then there's no reason you cannot get a decent total of season ticket sales. Obviously giving away a season pass for £1 might secure future fans so I'm not knocking it but in terms of gate receipts it puts you miles behind Rovers.
Rovers are now very close to 10,000 season ticket sales, the new East Stand Seating area which adds 1,000 to capacity is 85% full with passholders. The problem for Rovers is that even the increased capacity is unlikely to satisfy demand. Frankly it's a problem the club didn't expect to have, the club have outgrown the stadium.
Rovers will be turning away supporters in 2025 which is good and bad in equal measure.
The young generation of East Hull have taken to Rovers and it's incredible to see the amount of young faces at Sewell Group Craven Park. It's a problem for Rovers local born group of entrepreneurs to tackle but with such a wealth of business talent who would put it beyond them?
In summary there is no doubt that Hull Fc will sell a lot of season passes but not as many as they need to. Rovers will sell more but not as many as they could do.

Not against it but does distort revenue from pass sales and of course the old eleven thousand attendance figure when there is only eight or nine thousand in the ground

Is that your new nickname for me? I'm honoured to be in such exalted company as Yeaman, Griffin, Smith, Myler etc etc.
You could have asked about the attendance figures at the fans forum. It does sound like you are getting your defence in early about your prediction of just one 10k attendance in 2025 being hopelessly wrong.

| He won't answer I've asked him about the forum a few times, which he has not answered. He will come on here and moan, but hasn't the bottle to go and confront the club when he had the chance.
I always thought he was just a miserable Hull fan, but starting to think he is a Rovers fan.

What pretence? He openly shouts from the rooftops on how good the power board and Dobbins do as a club on and off the pitch then in the next breath slams AP and anything FC Certainly not the actions of an Hull FC supporter passed or present.

| Selling 7K after the worst season in living memory tells you all you need to know about the size of the club, and the loyalty of the fans. We’re one of three clubs capable of getting consistent crowds of 15K.
The Dobbins are coming off the back of their best ever super league season. And as someone said, we’ll still get bigger attendances. They’ll drop off after one mediocre season and their fans favourite goes to Canberra.
Anyway, great effort from the FC faithful. No doubt encouraging for the new owners.

| I imagine there is a few that just haven't got round to renewing yet (myself included). Think we will get over the 8K mark, which all things considered is something the club will be pleased with.

I too think we'll get to 8k which would leave us something like 300-500 down but that isn't bad going at all given how bad its been.
I'd welcome some discounts, promos and deals to win people back but only after we have turned it around on the field.

In fairness if things hadn't changed like they have done that could well have been a very real possibility. Its difficult to know just how the numbers stack up in terms of the renewals etc. I don't think its wrong to say that a good number will have renewed regardless but also it wouldn't be wrong to say a good number have renewed due to the changes such as Cartwright coming in as HC and string rumours of investment etc and wouldn't have otherwise.
I myself post season was doubtful about the numbers given the state we were in, but credit to the fans who have once again backed the club and credit the club for bringing back some genuine belief.
At the end of the day we all have differing opinions based on what we see and hear etc but ultimately we all want the same thing and thats to see a Hull FC that plays with heart & desire, an entertaining style and hopefully some success along the way.

It's a hypothetical point now thankfully with the new owners but I still believe there's no chance we would have only had 3000 members.

For me, the only way our core support would fall to the 3000 level would be on the back of a prolonged spell of being stuck in the Championship.
Even if we had been relegated at the end of last season, I still think the numbers would have been way above 3000 (all other factors still being in place). A lot of fans would have looked at it as a point at which the club turned itself around (again, assuming other factors such as financial sustainability did not radically alter our situation). There is also the likely fact that we would be watching a winning side most weeks which tends to put a smile on most people's faces, even if we were winning in a lower league. People like to watch a winning side whatever the circumstances!
I would go even further and make a claim that there are possibly at least 3000 supporters who would continue to follow the club come what may, whatever the circumstances, virtually to the point of the club's oblivion (if it were to come to that end). Even an extended prolonged residence in the lower-tier might not see our following dip below the 3000 mark. For a significant section of our fan base this is a life habit which they seem unable to break, and I think that would continue to be the case. I think some on here underestimated that aspect of our core supporter base.
Anyway, it's all hypotheticals as you say. We didn't get relegated, we're still here, we're still in business, there is a renewed sense of optimism around the club (for the first time in a number of years) and, by and large, the faithful still appear to be on board for the ride ahead.
I reckon the moral of the story is, never underestimate the durability, stubbornness, stoicism and sheer bloody-mindedness of your normal black & white faithful. We're an odd-ball lot, and no mistake, but that's who we are! (God bless us, eh!!).
