Gareth Hock will not be appearing in this game, he has received a 6 game ban for reckless use of knees and also received two £300 fines for each charge.

I'd rip up his contract .

He's an absolute liability to any team that he plays for, hence why nobody would sign him when he was going to leave Salford.

Must admit I'd be holding Hock's contract over the shredder if I was the Doc. He's been given enough chances and as Mrs B says, is pretty much irredeemable now. He's missed almost a season in bans since 2011 and anyone who thinks that's acceptable is delusional.

If he repented we should sign him. Radford can handle him.

I think I've said on here before, but my former brother-in-law used to work for the RFL and met Hock a couple of times. He likened it to being the closest you could get to being in the presence of a live Neanderthal.

Fair enough, although I'd say that a different outcome was possible but unlikely.

Hock playing would only benefit Hull, we will be a better side without him. I genuinely cannot call this game because against Warrington we were the better team for large periods (just couldn't get the ball down over the line despite numerous attempts) yet against St Helens we were absolutely woeful.



This game will be a good yardstick for Salford fans to know where we are right now, as Warrington and Saints will no doubt finish in the top 2 whereas Hull are a team we should battling it out against for a place in the top 8.

If it was at the KC I would be extremely confident. Away from home I still think we will win, but it makes it a tougher task. It would also be nice if Ellis is fit and we are full strength. If that is the case I would go for us by a couple of scores.

That's true, we would more likely be playing against a 12 man team because Hock would be sent off. However at least we won't need to worry as much about getting injuries due to his knees.
