Can see Naughton going which will be a shame, but we have Connor, Shaul, Michaels, Tala, Fonua, Griffin, Carlos, Logan and Rawsthorne in the backs.

That's our strongest back line, it's a shame to move Fonua. But we need Tuimavave back at centre.

We've needed a genuine strike player for a long, long time.

Kelly is definately worth a punt. Will make us a different proposition next year.

The outside back is intriguing though. As is who's leaving (on loan or otherwise).

I'm a big fan of Connor as well, so our options look very exciting.

In a daft way we have to many outside backs . I can count 9 which is fine when injuries happen and with the fixtures this season , but I think it's going to be difficult keeping them all happy .

Don't think we need another back, if Michaels resigns. But I would look at signing another front rower, as we only really have Watts, Taylor, Bowden and Green. Thompson can step in and there's eventually Masi but we're definitely a front rower short.

Agreed, good thing about Fonua on the wing is that we can use him to kicks to the corner, which is a dangerous weapon, also takes away his defensive weakness.

If we have cap space left I'd save it and see what happens during the season.

If we sign Kelly then the juries out but apart from the resigning of Michaels id go with what we have. Something tells me that we wont have it so easy with injuries next season so lets hope the younger and fringe players get more game time so we can find the next future stars of Hull FC - There has to be a path for the younger lads to progress or whats the point in them staying?

If thats the clubs idea then little point in extending Michaels contract or as Pearson said looking at an additional outside back.

It will be interesting though to see how many of our fringe players leave or are subject to loans to other clubs.

I'd agree about michaels. A s it stands, if we sign him and kelly then one of our overseas backs isn't in the first choice line up which is a waste. I can;t see the point of tuimavave or michaels sitting in the stands when we have naughton and connor as back up

I would like him to stay but he needs to be playing and that isn't going to happen very much for us.

Rather see him remain in SL personally.

I hope Naughton is not sacrificed to retain Michaels. Naughton is young and has shown enough promise already to become a very good player.



I can see the merit of sending Naughton out on loan if Michaels is retained for one season but to release him seems shortsighted as Naughton is a better long term option.

.... how's his back injury getting on?

Disappointing if we lose pritchard and manu. We'll struggle to find one suitable quality replacement

I saw him driving along the A63 on sunday afternoon so he's back in UK if he went home
