I dont think whiting is a first choice anything but he does well wherever he plays. But hes got 3 on his back so it lends me to believe that hes first chooice centre. And for the record i thought he played well last season at centre. But what i actually said was that id have preferred berro to stay and play centre

id say horne,long and afew others dont either..but what you got with berrigan was game time...the affor metioned 2 have played about 20 games between them in a hull shirt in the last year or so...

In 2008 Horne had a career threatening injury, not really down to any injury proneness. In 2009 Horne played 3 games more than Berro, so it was only last year that Berrigan comes out on top.

Carvell messed us about, undoubtedly, but was an excellent prop for us. Only slight downside was his injury record, but he was our best prop by some margin for most of the time he was at FC.

In 2005, Carvell, Dowes, Thackray and King were all at the top of their game. Think people forget what a good front row we had that year. The Awesome Foursome, no less.

I'd have liked to see Berro at centre for a year.

Wouldnt have made any difference although it would have been nice to see a world class centre play centre for a season.

It would indeed, I doubt we'd have signed Obst without Berro leaving and we need halfback cover more than a centre right now.

We'd have reverted to the same tactics that have failed for 3 years and used Berro at 7.

I wish Berro was still here then we could have him in the centres where he looked good at the back end of last season.That said I think Obst and Phelps will both turn out to be good players for us though.
