Unless it's a smokescreen that looks like he's really committed. Not.

I reckon he's worth a punt with a season contract and possibly an extension if it goes well.

Too old for me. We have enough cover in the back row and do we really want to sign a 34 year old centre on a 2 year deal? We need pace in the 3/4's

No way anyone can know that though. He's a very professional person by all accounts and i'd doubt he'd come over if he wouldn't be 100% committed.



Still not sure where he'd play though! Impact 2nd row by moving Ellis to prop and spelling Mini? All our back three play long minutes, Ellis & Westy 80 and Mini can easily play 60 at least.

Tahu is all about family.

He has been with his wife since he was 17 and was a father at 18.

He now has 3 teenage children.

Basically, his wife has always been the person with the most influence over where he plays, and now his kids have a big say too.

He is talking about the family wanting to spend some time in Europe, and that's pretty much why he is looking at ESL and French Rugby clubs.

He is a professional who will do his job wherever he signs, but the decision on where he goes is based on where his family will be happy.

He needs to start wearing the pants then and tell his lass to get the suitcase packed cos she's off to 'Ull.

Done deal then. I can think of no finer place to bring up teenage kids than the streets of our fair city.

If nothing else it will make them appreciate home when they go back.

I think the wife and kids will be doing the tourist thing all over Europe. The home base won't matter that much.
