TBH I think it will & should be Holdsworth as we have missed that vital cog in the middle for years. He has the ability and now has the players around him to be able to give the side what it has been lacking, also think he may go well with Seymour.



Ellis what more can be said he is literally a world class player although we maybe expecting too much from him to start with but his experience and the game he plays will help us enormously. Yes losing Willie will leave a hole but TBF he did go missing at times and at least we only play St's twice unless drawn in the Cup and play offs.



Galea again a bit like Ellis, his experience and nous will be a great benefit to the team and will no doubt if he stays fit play as a big a role in moving us forward on the pitch as Ellis & Holdsworth.



McDonnell again having a specialist FB will make a big difference as we saw at the start with McKinnon the benefit of having a specialist in that position and how much it affected us when he left.

I'm expecting Holdsworth to be our biggest signing and the one I'm most looking forward to seeing.

We've been blessed over the last six years to have someone who could run rings around players in Willie Manu with his ability. Ellis is a better player than Manu, but in a different mould imo. Someone who will run brilliant lines and stop anything that comes his way and is very consistent. Manu was a freak and had a very unique skill set.



I'm worried about our right hand side, which looks like it'll start off as Arundel and Crookes. Doesn't look the strongest in either attack or defence and Arundel's shoulder is a worry. Plus the fact imo Lineham is already a better player than Crookes (someone I've never rated even at amateur level).

That right hand side of Seymour, Arundel & Crookes is the weakest area of the Hull side by quite a distance. Hull are strong everywhere else & have much more strength in depth this year.

according to the HDM he had bigger offers from other clubs but the lure of HKR was too great to turn down

Holdsworth for me hopefully he will bring a bit of spark in the creativity department, get the ball wide fast, kick well and take some pressure off Seymour.

Because given the change we saw in our attack once McKinnon left this year it's not strange to think a natural full back will help in this way, is it? Unfortunately we can't all recruit 'the next Billy Slater (but not good enough for Hudds)' can we.

For me Adam Pearson has sold no one a dummy, he has invested heavily in the clubs infrastructure to improve the club as a whole on and off the field inparticular youth development.



The side he & Gentle have put together is a lot stronger than last seasons and we can not expect to right the wrongs of the last 5 to 7 years in one off season.



A top 4 finish is a not out of the realms of possibility as Leeds, Warrington, Wigan and Saints (apart from Manu) have not significantly strengthened for next season infact Wigan I would say are weaker in the halfs.



I can't see any team that actually you look down the squad and think

Consistency is the key for Hull. 6th last season, following a fairly inconsistent year in performances and alot of squad disruption. The squads stronger overall going into 2013, just got to cut out those dodgy odd performaces like Wakey/Widnes.



You proved last year that you can compete with the top teams, taking points off Wire, Leeds, Saints & Catalans - Hull should be up around 4th place.
