I just think that with Turner we've seen several aspects of his game improve, but one fundamental flaw remain without getting the slightest bit better for the majority of games. This year we've also seen a few of our players improve, particularly in defence, but not him. This leads me to believe that it's less about him not being taught properly and more about him not listening. I suspect he's one of the 'doesn't want to be coached' element we have and thinks he's better than he actually is. I'm not saying he won't be improved by Brown, just that the odds would appear against it. He's a physically stronger Craig Hall.

Fully agree. You can probably count on one hand how many good games he has had for us over his stay. Stange how must of them happened around March/April this year when someone was looking for a new contract.

Give him a year at saints. Be amazed if they ain't got better coming through their ranks. He s extremely average.

I'll go with very good too. This is the issue, can he be coached? If so and Brown can sort him out they have a good centre if not they have a liability in defence. Either way I am not bothered to see him go but just hope Arundel is the right replacement.

Agreed, and I currently suspect he can't be coached. I think McManus' comment about his defence is laughable, though.



With Arundel, my biggest concern now is his shoulder. If he fully recovers I think he has the ability to be better than Turner, I'm just unsure now whether it's getting worrying that he's been out so long or simply that they're not rushing him back because he's leaving anyway and good for him to have the extra time.

Still think he will turn out to be a decent centre, he has definatley dropped off since Easter time but had a good match at the weekend.



Hopefully Arundel and Crooks will turn out to be better players for us.

That's the question, are there complications with his shoulder or are they leaving him out as he is leaving?

With the right coaching and work on his defence he'll do well at Saints. Brown has developed some decent backs in the same mould at Hudds and could do it with Turner. Only Turner and Briscoe currently capable of going the length of the field in Hull's team. I don't know enough about Arundel to comment either way about whether he's better than Turner or not - I hope he is. If Turner didn't want to stay then fair play on your way Jordan but I hope we find more pace in our outside backs to compensate.

I think Turner started off under the new regime very well had an excellent game at Saints and against HKR but since rumours started circulating about him possibly going his form has certainly tailed off. Had he still been playing as he was before mid April I would have been disappointed to see him leave but taking into account his form since I can't say that he will be as big a loss as I first thought.



He does seem to have the tools to make it into a very good player but his application at times seems questionable.

According to the Saints fans Brown is going to turn him into a world beater.

Looks like he is going to turner a corner with them.

Only reason i said we have better is because i have watched Turner since he signed for Hull and imo i dont think he has kicked on with his development. I also manage a few Cas games last season and i was very impressed with what i saw of Arundel.I guess it is wait and see how both players cope, if Turner can be coached any better and if Arundel can get over his current injury.

I'd say Crookes is quicker than both our wingers and Aurndel is fairly sharp too.

Yes pleased with the Crookes signing if/when it materialises. Looking forward to seeing Arundel if he ever plays.

Not entirely convinced about that - I know he picked up a loose ball at Wire last year and went 70 yards but I've not seen out and out pace from him when on the end of an attacking move. Not seen every game he's played mind.

As for turner, I'm sorry to see him go. Think he is starting to show his true potential and will go on to be a good SL level centre and may move into the back row in a few years. is very strong and quick

Not been consistent enough whilst at the club. A great try at Saints and the hat trick in the derby, but aside from that not quite good enough.



He may well improve at Saints, but I'm not devastated to see him leave Hull.

Fair enough, but I'm not having a go or anything because it's only natural to think that your club has got the better deal.



I personally don't think there's much difference in Arundel and Turner; just my opinion though.
