Not sure I've seen any dirty play from Lauaki except in retaliation just hard rugby. Stop the retaliation and he'll be massive for us.

The last 2 mins of the pre-season game laid the foundations for Rovers tactics, as intended, afraid Morgan let his guard down there.

Silverwood was an absolute joke when it came to Lauaki, no protection, swinging arms, facials etc etc all going unpunished, however the guy still needs to learn to stand and smile, would have pished them off even more.

Vella for me was a total coward, diving in 2-3 times as fourth man with his niggling, shame he wasn't such a big man in White Horse!!

Agree with that. Lauacki made himself a target as soon as he came on by sticking his hand in the markers face at a play the ball. Remarkably Silverwood got most things right and contributed to a good game. All of the excitement came from "the biff" and god old fashioned passionate defence. If Silverwood had have got too pedantic it would have taken that away and lets face it there wasn't a lot of quality football from anyone.

Lauaki will always be a target for opposition players and he doesnt help himself with his behaviour sometimes but i agree that the ref should have offered him more protection too.

He was also far too lenient with Sean Long, especially when rovers were looking to improve on their 14 points, early in the second half.

What a muppet Galea has just made himself look. The back to back penalties against us in the 2nd half by Silverwood to try to get Rovers into the game aren't mentioned. He simply needs to face the facts that even with the ref's assistance there and a huge amount of possession they simply aren't good enough. We were poor too imo.

Despite repeat warnings Lauaki remained free to foul his way through the game. Ben Galea was justified in his refereeing assessment.

All the way through the game is fairly funny too as he only played about 20mins in the first have and was then interchanged due to concussion and nothing else. Funny thing is, one of the cheap shots from Newton probably caused the concussion!

I have absolutely no doubt that Lauaki will be called before the disciplinary for punching. Equally, I also think that when the Match Review Panel watch the video, there could well be one or more HKR players expecting a visit to Red Hall

That galea article makes it blatantly obvious that rovers went out with rough house tactics and failed!

I think Rovers over emphasized the need to be aggressive and not get beat up because every player interview since has mentionned the aggression in the forwards!
