| Quote R.B.A="R.B.A"Kris Welham isnt in the squad.'" I was meaning from a squad selection perspective. Welham gutted to have missed the cut, so he's certainly in the mix at this level.
Quote R.B.A="R.B.A" Carl Ablett is the alternative but would probably mean shifting Reed to the left and Ablett slotting in on the right. Cant see Mcnamara making such a change to his structure at this stage.
The sad thing from my point of view is that i think that Tom Briscoe on the left wing can cause any team in the world problems if he is given good ball but Yeaman and Chase arnt equiped to do it at this level.'"
Wouldn't disagree - Reed is a bit all or nothing for me and Chase seems to operate independently from the rest of the team he team which obviously has a disproportionate impact on Yeaman and Briscoe. I was responding to your good friend who saw fit to post on here that Yeaman was poor in defence today. Personally I don't think you'll find many on here claiming Yeaman is a world class centre, but I thought he played well last week and OK today. I'm happy for him that he's first pick at this level, but the fact we're drafting in Reed and have Ablett and Welham, who averages 70 missed tackles as season, as back-up says much about the options McNamara has open to him.

| I thought there was alot of positives tonight....hall and reed looked solid on the right...apart from that one try on the left, which for me was yeamos error for coming inside, was solid aswell....tomkins was as lively as ever...chase was alot more involved then the france game and looked more at ease....widdop looked good off the bench and the pack did a good job...been very impressed with the new larkers so far..feeling optimistic but the real test will come next week.

| I thought Yeamo moved infield too far and left Briscoe high and dry. Briscoe worked harder around the ruck than normal, as did most of the outside backs. Nothing startling from the Welsh team, I thought Briers tried too hard at times, with little support. As said previously - The real test is next week.

I'll raise you Benji Marshall/Issac Luke et al.
Fwiw - I agree with him being at fault against the Welsh for his rush infield, but not for the others against the French.

Just checked your posting history expecting to find you slating Welham for his defensive errors on a regular basis, because let us be honest he makes Yeamo look world class in that department...not being able to find any though

=#FF0000Like I said earlier, this is a thread regarding Yeaman and Briscoe, not Marshall, Luke and Chase!
You must have missed the French game then because he made defensive mistakes in that game that led to trys.
My friend mentioned before the french game how solid yeaman is in defence as we was having a conversation on why he should be picked for the national team(on which I agreed with on the basis of his form last season).
Open your eyes guys, trys conceded down our left hand side defence by poor mistakes and scored by poor teams.

Had Yeaman stayed wide there were two inside him that could have walked in. They had created an overlap.

Positives?????.....was a bloody god awful team and take away Tomkins,we looked very ordinary indeed. The team isnt right...why play sinfield at 6...never a stand off...put widdop in at 6...sinfied at 13,with Heightinton at sub along with Carvell on bench....wilkin can go as well.
The try was Yeamos fault as he went for the dummy runner but what defender doesnt...apart from that he had a solid game but its not about who plays for who...its 17 players representing England.

Exactly Paul and tbh,it was a well worked try...it was only what we had done for most of our tries. It was a hit out for England as Wales was bloody awful and was Briers playing?????? Thats why he hardly played for Britain.

I think your going abit over the top about how bad it was to be honest....agree about sinfield and would like to see widdop there..apart from that i dont see how your other tweeks in the team would make much of a difference....
We wont win it...wel probably get done next week but i think the make up of this squad is about the best we have got....dont no what your expecting to see??
