It's hard to keep track but I think we are missing

McGillvary, Lautele, Sezer, Yates, O'Brien, Lawrence, Edwards, McQueen



Postponing would seem to have been a good idea but it's fitting the game in. We already have five games in July and six in August.

I think that's the problem particularly as the decision needed to made earlier and at that point we were still playing the derby so already a full and very congested fixture list in July. I'm sure if the club could have postponed they would have done but the logistically & financially I doubt we have had too many options if any to do so realistically.

Also Joe Wardill and Cogger, pretty even game, I thought we have the edge but if Swift and Houghton are out it balances it out.

Cator and Scott were doubtful not so long ago, let's hope they stay fit.

I also thought Jake Wardle was omitted from the England squad due to injury so I'm surprised to see him named in Huddersfields squad, as if he plays I can't see that doing his International chances much good if you pull out due to injury but play for your club on the same night.

Burrell only 17 still. Bit green for a prop but good luck to him.

Good luck to all our youngsters tonight, let’s not put the boot into these lads should the expected happen, I think if Hulls board were poker players, we’d be losing our deposit. I feel some teams are using the percentage system to their advantage, while we have been naive.

A very depressing week for the club, hope they can pull a miracle out the bag

Huddersfield were relying on the assumption you can add players to a 13 man squad without penalty.



We announced 18 players, so should be ok.

Effort is all I'm after tonight. anything else is a bonus.



Hopefully Gruby and Sneyd can produce something special.

Would be surprised if we get the win based on our bench. 2 half backs on there (1 on debut) and a 17 year old on debut. Not much punch at all to bring on and iexpecr Sao and Fash will be asked to play some big minutes.

Hope I'm wrong but what at the start of the week was looking like a relatively routine win is going to be an almighty battle. Hope the debutants have great games.

Doesn't make any sense really, it means clubs can announce a 1 man squad and pick the team an hour before kickoff.

Yeah I'd expect Fash and Sao to play 60 mins. Probably need a full 80 from Ma'u and Cator.

About the sort of game I expected really, disjointed and struggling for go forward.

Completion rate has been poor. Logan looks rusty but that's to be expected.

We've defended pretty well for the most part though.



Its probably just the usual 'at the game' bias but it feels like we've got absolutely jack all from Moore.
