we cant get rid of everybody, looks like in the elbow room we have hodgson has injected pace in the backline, added a quick hooker, and looking out for a prop, whilst looking to offload some of the players not performing, cant be done in one year, dont know what you expect TBH

No we arent, the issues are under performing players already under contract, the ones we are resigning are the better performing players.

Happy he's signed. With Sav, Mau, Lane and Cator we've got one of the best back row lines in super league 'when they are on form' - we just need the another front row now and possibly another half back in place of Reynolds

I don't think many on here would class Ben McNamara as one of your better performing players !

He is 19, this year he is still eligible for the academy, not really the same is it.



At best a squad player, wouldnt suprise me to see him go on loan, someone sees something in him in training, so worth a new deal at his age, see if he develops, will hardly take up any cap

The problem for players like Ben McNamara at Hull is that they have not been given enough of an opportunity under previous regimes. Instead preferring to play players out of position than trust in the younger players. The fact the academy set up with the game had been mucked about with for a long time and no mandatory requirement for every SL team to have a proper reserve team with a proper league structure hasn’t helped develop players either.

At least we now have a coach who is restructuring the whole set up with pathways for the emerging talent through to senior rugby. We have seen that even during this season BH preferred using players in their respective positions rather than the square pegs in round holes as we’ve seen previously.



I thought McNamara seemed fairly reserved in his performances as an attacking threat but defensively he was sound and reliable in most games he played.

no point if we are to have meaningful reserve fixtures.

If it turns out to be one or two games per month then i agree.

What's wrong with the lad having a couple of seasons in the reserves and seeing how he develops?

Pearsons taking the Michael, thought he was going to sort this squad out for the abysmal season you've had? Re signing players speaks volumes?

You're right let's just let most of our squad leave (including some of our best players) and just go out and sign all the available players out there from the massive talent pool out in super league.

Unfortunately the ones that do need to go are out of contract next year. The ones from this year have been out better performers
