1973

I'm 43 and started going with my dad and grandad sometime in the mid 70's. Honestly don't know what the 1st game I saw was. I do remember it mostly being bloody cold though and going back to my Gran's after the games and thawing out in front of her coal fire.

Got dragged to the Boulevard in the mid 60's by my Mum, Dad and Nanna who all stood in threepenny. Was only about 7 at the time and playing on the hill at the Gordon Street end held more excitement for me (stayed away from threepenny stand because it stank). I used to like waiting for half time when the gates opened and everyone surged in to watch the second half for free. Only really took an interest in the early seventies and it went from there and i've never looked back, been some good, bad and dreadful times but it's in the blood so will always be a black and white.

1961. 5 year old and like FC50 enjoyed playing on Gordon st hill more than the games. It was against the dobbins and I can remember even now the fight some young kids had with the dobbins fans behind the hill in the thick mud. Not sure who won the game though. Still got a rotting program from that game somewhere in the loft.

Started in 79 and been hooked ever since.

1969 Yorkshire Cup final at Headingley against Featherstone. After that it was back to reality and a mostly empty Boulevard, which I used to walk around and around during the games. Early memories include Len Casey's debut and a try by Kenny Foulkes who seemingly tackled and engulfed by four or five defenders at the (new) scoreboard end, all of a sudden stuck his arm out of the mass of players and plonked the ball down for a try. Haven't a clue who they were playing, but happy memories.

The 100% season - '78/'79. First game was vs Blackpool. I think the score was 8-7.

70. Started watching along with Dad, 3 uncles, an auntie, 2 cousins and my brother. We all stood on Gordon Street end and watched the likes of Gittoes on the right and Ivor Watts on the left, so I would guess that would be around 1950. I'm still as daft aboout the boys as I was then. I almost forgot my Grandad.

First game in 2000, Challenge Cup QF against Wigan if i remember rightly?
thought it was different considering the only rugby i had ever watched was the 6 nations and was really into football and Hull City.
Watched FC on a number of occasions over the next 3 years including the final game at the Boulevard and a memorable game against Bradford in which we were down and beat needing 3 or 4 tries, we got them and then they scored a drop goal. that game was when i really took a liking to the game.
2004 was when i really got to understand the game more and even though i was fairly new to the sport I could tell we were a good team that year and consistent and would say is when I got 'hooked' and somewhere down the line converted my dad from union to league

First game was the 1980 cc final i was 10 at the time and my abiding memory was abide with me being sung cannon and ball providing entertainment and the fact that we run out of time to winicon_smile.gif. I followed Hull then up until 85 where i joined the Royal Navy and for the next 24 years it was when i was on leave i managed to get to games. I was privilidged enough to watch kemble ohara leulei and the amazing peter stirling. still go as often as i can working shifts and always keeping the faith.

Think I was 7 and it was a 7s/9s tournament at boulevard in 85, we lost to Fev I believe in the semi and they won it. Started going after that on scoreboard end (waiting in Griffin car park whilst my dad had a couple cos kids weren't allowed in! But only really got hooked two seasons later when I moved from the hill to threepenny.

Could well have been that mate it was a fair while ago and it was all new to me! My overriding mory is my old man let me have sip of his beer and I thought he was a legend and rugby was cool

My dad used to take me a lot when I was a kid but the game I remember the most and when I was truly hooked to FC was the 14-4 win at the Boulevard in the challenge cup against Wigan in 2000. Was more or less dragged into rugby from birth but from that game I couldn't get enough. Even the next round defeat at McAlpine against Leeds didn't put me off when we got beat and then invaded the pitch!!

Living in Grimsby at the time I only followed football. A bloke where I worked had moved over from Hull.He was an F.C. supporter,said I should follow a mans game!
My day of dawning came on 6th December 1981,the Boulevard,Great Britain v France.I went to the game,not knowing half the rules, thought ,mmmm not too bad.Went with him to next Hull game,got hooked from there.Will hold my hand up and say I dropped off during the Sharks era.Met my future mrs, a Hull supporter in 1999 started going regular again. Season ticket holder until last year.One thought makes me shudder,he could have been a Rovers supporter,how bad would that have been?

Trevor Skerret and Knocker were playing for G.B. that day.

About 1969 and I'm 54 now, when I was at Villa Place and we got Mr Cameron as the PE teacher.
He was rugby league mad and introduce cheap tickests to the Boulevard. I mainly played about rolling down the grass at the back of score bourd end. I must admit, I went off a bit to watch City in the early 70's but was soon back during the Boxhall, Davidson era. Mr Cameron sits in front of me in the South Stand and we shake hands evert game.

Im 18 and have been going since I was 4 or 5.
The only reason I started going was because my dad told me about the knight (Boris). As I grew up I became more and more interested in rugby, and started playing Rugby for Cott Tigers when I was 6. I played at the Boulevard, Caravan Park and we where the first team to win at the KC as we played at half time at the opener. My best memory is obviously the 2005 CC Final and watching my 72 year old Grandad getting drunk and serenading the Hull fans with Old Faithful out of an Italian restaurant window in the Cardiff centre!

late 60s, keegan was full back in those days,sully on the wing,d gemmill, john maloney centres, davidson and hancock halfbacks, m harrison a mcglone boxall t kerchin,brown,e broom,where sum of the forwards i remember, i also remember h firth a winger signed from local rugy union,hes still the fastest thing ive seen on a rugby pitch,just a pity he couldnt play rugby very good lol,

Mate, that's the very side I remember when I first went! Howard Firth's flowing golden locks and all that. Keegan was a monster at full back and so were the pack you mentioned. Brings a tear to me eye!

47. My first game was in 1978 against the touring Australian side. Bobby Fulton was playing for them & they won 34 -4 I think it was. We had a welsh trialist full back playing, "supertaff" Paul Prendiville, who, if memory serves me correctly, kicked our two penalties. Happy days
