Just wanting any ideas of establishments that provide the above. Have been using New Clarence early in the season but the cask beer in there is far too hit and miss to risk on a regualr basis so looking for a new 'go to' pub for our Friday nights/Saturday early evenings.

Every other Friday the concourse at the KC serves 'beer'.

Come and quench your thirst served up by our exotic international array of staff.......

I actually got served by a young local lass on Friday, first time in I can't remember how long I didn't have to repeat myself 15 times only to be served up the wrong thing

Zoo is pretty good, and my mates pub

I usually have a pint of what they describe as 'bitter' on the concourse. To be honest I wouldn't know what it actually tastes of since it's usually served somewhere between -10C and -15C.

You sure they don't keep fetching you a slush puppy?

What cask beer do they have on nowadays?

No, I know this as a slush puppy actually tastes of something.

I love the way on the concourse at half-time they look at you, blank-faced, with not a single pint pulled in readiness as if to say "where the hell did you lot all come from? One minute, no customers and the next a mad-rush. What sort of pub is this?"



And every week before the match they're still training the brand-new staff before you get served. Last week my pal asked for a napkin. The young lad serving (not a local lad) said "yes sir. What flavour?"

Dunno to be honest, see what I can find out for ya.

What for? parking your car without getting clamped?





The beer in there isn't the best though

Thing about the clamping is he could do NOWT when the agreement was in place, luckily Joppo saw the light and got rid, saw some decent rows tho







As for the ale I'm unsure as I don't drink

yup had some giggles watching the rows infact i'm gonna contact the mail to start a campaign to bring clamping back to the zoo

Frankie , you state you usually have a pint of bitter on the concourse. Then you go on to pick fault with the hand pull cask in THE NEW CLARENCE . I dont know how you dare mention the two in the same tread .

You really need to get your taste buds sorted my old chum.

I think you can gauge my opinion on the quality of the beer in the stadium from my above comments. Just because I have the odd pint in there doesn't mean I endorse it's quality.

Zoo is good for atmosphere and is reasonably close to the ground.



Beer isnt great and I find it quite expensive compared to other pubs.

The 'beer' served on the concourse is the most horrific swill known to man. I'd sooner drink a bag lady's period.

A friend who once worked at the stadium, told me that he noticed a barrel rigged up which was 5 months out of date!





Never bought alcohol since at the KC.

Wouldn't surprise me. It never fails to amaze me how many people actually part with their money in exchange for the stuff.

Especially as it's gone up...AGAIN!
