Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. | A new 12000 seater stadium for Hull FC would probably cost in the region of £25m. Where's Adam going to find that sort of cash from ? The club is completely skint, which is common knowledge.
An alternative improved deal to use the current stadium once the current deal expires. How on earth would they get an "improved" deal?. The only way this deal will be agreed will be Hull FC paying a substantial amount of extra rent to use the stadium, which currently runs at a massive loss.
Lets face it, Adam and Hull FC have absolutely no leverage at all in this process, and the idea of a new stadium for Hull FC is nothing but a pipe dream.

Quote ="ComeOnYouUll"Thankfully the club are more ambitious than ">you.'"
Have I stated that is my ambitionsor what I would prefer ?
Is not even about ambition either, its about business sense. So how about stop being so hostile, write more then one sentence and contribute.

Tbf though would a 15k stadium cost much more to run than a 12k stadium?
Not like it will be an extra stand or upper section as per Mkm.
The attendance on Sunday was over 15k which wouldn’t have been possible in a 12k stadium. Even at the offer price that could have lost the club approx £15k?

Exactly and with a max capacity of 12K that could mean the club would have to limit the number of pass holders to allow for a certain number of tickets for walk ups or limit/rule out walk ups. Limiting numbers is effectively turning customers away and would have significant negative impact on growing the numbers.
As Davey says a 15K or even 18-20K wouldnt cost that much more to build or run if along the lines of St’s/Warrington grounds. There’s then sufficient capacity to grow and build the fanbase. The club needs to have an available capacity to grow its members and fan base and currently with 8K members 12K wouldn’t give enough capacity and wouldn’t make any business sense.
It will be interesting to see the how the numbers go this season as over 15K is a very promising start and the newbies that turned up will have certainly been entertained and seen a win.
Still think keeping both clubs at the MKM is the way to go currently and forget about a secondary stadium of that size.
Still all pie in the sky, all being well we will see more attendances of 12-14K over the coming season if the brand of rugby on the field is enjoyable and entertaining.

I have contributed to this debate plenty of times already, thanks.
My prefered option is to stay where we are. IF we were to leave the MKM we should be looking at at least a 15k stadium, probably 18k. We have 8000 members which we should be looking at increasing. We won't do that in a 12k stadium.
A 12k stadium means every game would have to be all ticket and with an away allocation and seats left empty for safety reasons you could have some games were only 9k Hull fans could go. It's not good business sense to limit your market.
Saints have an 18k stadium but hardly ever fill it.

| Just catching up on this debate.
St Helen’s & Leeds have it spot on for ground capacity around 18k.
If we were to move to a 12k then it would strangle the life out of the club.
Limit sponsorship, corporate boxes,
fan growth and a knock on effect for salary cap.
Without getting too political if Darren Hale gets back in power then any ground proposals / Walton street etc will just get put on the pile with other long awaited redevelopment projects.
