Maybe its not all complete nonsense in a sense as I think the issue is two fold. It may well be that the external players coming in struggle as its clearly evident that players that come in more often than not seem to fail to reproduce the form they have shown elsewhere.
It maybe they struggle with the pressure in Hull compared to the likes of St's, Wigan, Leeds etc in terms of the goldfish bowl Hull is a totally different prospect. The other issue that I think plays a part in our downfall and in turn in the performance of the individuals and as a team is the clear lack of playing structures in place with an over reliance on the skill of individual players to win games rather than structured play. That is what I think the main issue and problem stems from.
This is why I believe we are so inconsistent, have no real support play, are too one dimensional, have poor last play options, are too slow at the ptb both in attack and defence etc. I think because of the lack of this structure that is so evident in the likes of St's & Wigan for example means that the players at Hull are under a lot more pressure as individuals to perform week in week rather than as a team. Rather than it been a fluid system everyone knows and plays too without having to think too much about it, we tend to play not seemingly knowing what everyone is doing and having to think and second guess everything as they go.
I am not defending any of the players or the coaching set up and its pretty clear that they have all in the majority failed to perform and there can be and should be no excuses for that as AP has given them just about every tool to enable them to deliver on the field.
