Quote ="bonaire"Agree but it seems that Last is the one who now has the coach title not Purtill
I dont get this handing down the job to the assistant coach as he must have had an imput into everything Radford did and therefore in my eyes just as culpable as Radford
I realise the club are looking for a new head coach but Last has been part of the failure and should also have been shown the door.
The problem for me is when a new coach is appointed Last is likely to keep his job as Pearson is hardly likely to say to him thanks for standing in Andy but your services are no longer required.'"
I agree, Last has been at the club for 20 years, assistant coach for 13 or so of those, anyone who spends that long as an assistant lacks one of two things, ability or ambition (imho). Now I am sure there will be a lot of posters who start calling me names and saying what a great lad Andy is, or 'Lasty' as some will refer to him, if he gets a chance to shine (which seems increasingly unlikely with every passing day) but if he does, and he does shine (by virtue of the team performances) then he will get my support, but when I read "He has been responsible for the production of a long line of homegrown players such as Josh Bowden, Chris Green, Dean Hadley, Reece Lyne, Tom Briscoe and Tommy Lee." I am not filled with confidence, I hope he does prove me wrong [iif[/i he gets chance.
