The decision to buy a season pass or not is a personal one and nobody has the right to criticise somebody for making a personal choice. I'm fortunate enough to have the disposable income to buy a pass and the personal circumstances to allow me the time to attend games. However, watching the Rugby is one of many leisure activities for me and in recent years the appeal has diminished to the point that the main reason I go is for the social element of me and the wife meeting up with the father-in-law and a few friends. The number of away games we attend has already dropped off but I suspect we will always continue to renew our passes. It's all very well saying true fans (whatever that means) will always buy a pass but for a lot of people the rugby is not an obsession but a leisure activity and they will drift away if the product is poor. I'm sure AP is well aware we have a hardcore of support and to a certain extent he can just forget about those (whilst fully appreciating them) and concentrate on the floating support. That floating support see the rugby as a leisure activity and not a passion so telling them are not a true supporter if they dont renew is meaningless. Get the product right on the pitch and they will allocate some of that precious leisure time to the rugby. Get it wrong and they will look for other things to do. It's already happening.
Bought mine today. Cost rather more than my first Junior Pass for all first and A team games in nineteen fifty something (5 shillings) but I'm happy. COYH150
