I was on a lads weekend away a couple of years ago and a current SL player was on it. After a few hours and a few beers he was very open about his (at the time) contract talks and other offers he'd had from other clubs and that he was favouring an offer from Wakey. Sure enough a few weeks later he'd signed for them. So it may not be as ridiculous he we may think.
