Quote ="Large Paws"I wasn't using Radford's inexperience to excuse anything.
He is quite clearly out of his depth.
What I was trying to point out is that even, top coaches make mistakes. It was obvious to a lot of people that losing players of the quality that Wire have, would cause them problems, surely such a good coach would have seen it coming, and done something about it before it happened. Especially when they seem to have such spending power.
Leeds probably have adequate replacements coming through the ranks, Saints also have, they just had a gap between old and new.
Re Man Utd, Ferguson had seen it coming, that's why he left, and hadn't bothered to to do anything about it, because he knew he was leaving.
I fully agree that Pearson needs to do something, and now.'"
How do you know Wire don't have 'a gap between old and new'? Success goes in cycles, and very few teams are constantly at the top of their respective sports. Sometimes successful teams need dismantling and rebuilding.
And as for the bit about Ferguson, I'm sorry, but that's just nonsense. I don't like the guy, but there's no doubting the fact that he loves Man Utd. It's his club. The idea that he simply 'didn't bother' rebuilding the team because he wouldn't be the manager is laughable.
