I agree fully with the second part but the first part doesn't make sense. It is easier to play well in a full strength side surely? His form is even more praiseworthy due to the lack of some of our other high profile/senior players.
I'm delighted for him, he has proved what an excellent and useful squad member he is and makes folly of the suggestion he has got his contract on the back of sentimental reasons or because he is a "local lad"
