| I do have sympathy for him in a way, but even though he was told it was ok, you would of thought he would of checked himself also just to be on the safe side.
I wonder if his mother told him to jump of a cliff and she said he would survive, Would he jump?? Daft i no but similar sort of quote.

| [url=http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2004/jan/31/rugbyleagueKnowing how dodgy Longy and his dad's trading has been, you'd have thought Gleeson would have known better considering they're best mates.[/url

| If he'd been stung with a Bulgarian umbrella, I'd have some sympathy. He wasn't, he stuufed something in his gob. However innocent it may seem, he has an absolute responsibility for what HE puts into his body.
Time for him to shut up

| I think the substance he took (methylhexaneamine) is actually legal and can be taken in the off-season and in the week, it is only banned so many hours before a game because it is a stimulant and can enhance performance. All stimulants have a short and temporary effect on performance hence why they can be legal however steroids, HGH...etc provide an athlete with continued and prolonged physical advantage and so are banned completely.
I read an article on it when the whole Gleeson saga was exposed, I'd post a link but I can't for the life of me remember where I read it!
Point still stands though, a professional athlete is responsible for what they put in their body, if your naive enough to listen to someone or lazy enough to not look things up yourself then it's entirely your own fault.
