| Great stuff Wilf. You could get a job with the Daily Mail; pulling newsworthy rabbits from imaginary hats.
Thanks

| Really enjoyable read as ever. I don't know how you do it Wilf. Well having bought a copy of the second book, I have it on good authority that Santa will probably be bringing me book number one. I really hope so as I'm impatient to get stuck into your story.
Keep up the good work Wilf and I look forward to renewing acquaintance before too long.

| excellent monday morning fix, particullaly enjoyed the peice on sir john whiteley. He came to our school (west dock ave) with some tickets for the upcoming match. this was probably in the late 1950s, and 55yrs later I,m still supporting the fc !!!! absolute legend.

| Really enjoyed reading about Johnny Whitely. As you say he was part of the Holy Trinity of loose forwards, which I don't think have ever been equalled (See my signature at the bottom of this post). I'd never met Johnny until I came to the book signing and speaking with him just confirmed what an absolute gentleman and legend he is.
I also enjoyed the mention of good old Ivor Watts and remember his trick of kicking the ball with the outside of his right boot whilst tearing down the left wing. I spent a lot of money in his sweet shop on my way to the Boulevard after he'd retired from the game.
Great memories as ever Wilf. Keep up the good work.
