Not a chance, Hull fans (not particually aimed at you) obsession with signing big name halfbacks is a joke considering how rare they are, I cant see a top established 7 coming to SL anyway, if for some reason a player fitting that criteria became available he would be Saints bound, personally Id look for a young Aussie but again visa issues could be a problem. Makes it more baffling why we didnt take a chance on Moore this season.
Horne will get a new contract and Obst will still be here and I wouldnt rule out a one year deal for Long considering the lack of options, possibly a coaching/playing deal, not sure what other options we have, Another attempt at signing Sammutt is a possibility and looks the most likely, Chase is out of our league, depending on Wires recruitment they would possibly listen to offers for Myler again? although hes made it clear he dosnt want to play for Hull. Huddersfield seem to have a few very talented young halfs and dummy halfs on there books, with Brown and Brough first choice maybe they would take a fee for Robinson if we were willing, that looks unlikely though he is on a long contract and I would expect they would want to keep him, not many options in my opinion.

The fact is that top class Aussie halves don't come over here as rule unless they are at the end of there careers, the only one in there prime in recent years is Monaghan, and he was playing hooker at the time and it was Wire for who money is no object, due to the tax laws changing it will be harder then ever, plus there isn't exactly a surplus of quality halves in the NRl at the moment, looking at it sensibly I'd say the chances of a 'top class' established Aussie 7 signing are slim to none, talk of Cronk is stupid.
