Quote ="The Dentist Wilf"Don't panic we will never move back there to play!!!!
Just passing on what I have heard But digging around today in an effort to get some news for the next Diary I found something out that could just not waitr till next week! My pals at the Council were very cagey but alluded to the fact that the Mail had got hold of a story that had the Boulevard as the prefared option for the new training and health centre. I have always thought that the Council and the club could find some mutual benifit from any such scheme and I have always supported the idea in the Diary. How true it is I don't know but its a good source.
Apparently the possibility of playing Academy games and reserve matches back there has not been ruled out, but initially we would be moving our training operation to the site which would see the considerable investment from the NHS the club and the Council scheduled for the university site switched to the crumbling edifice of our old home and the community around the ground. I would really welcome it and it would be a great development for the area. Any move would not though allow any first team rugby to play there, that would be part of any covenant!
I hope this is true because if it is it would be great to move all our off the field operation back to the old stamping ground as well as getting some great health facilities into the area.
I guess we should watch this space! Just a rumour at the moment though and it might just all be pie in the sky talk! I would really welcome it though!
Thoughts anyone?'"
Planning was approved at least 6 months ago for re-development. You're slacking old boy.
I bet the players can't wait to travel down St Georges Rd/Boulevard/Selby St everyday icon_lol.gif" alt="icon_lol.gif" title="Laughing" />
At least City have got it right by setting up near most of the players houses.

Not as far as I know its not , but it should be'"
"The remains of the former National Picture Theatre are grade II listed (as of 2nd January 2007) and the Swan Inn is locally listed (as of 19th September 2006). The site is located within the Beverley Road Conservation Area. " (Hullcc 2009)
taken from the planning permission of said restuarant, see link

In the same article it states
"RECOMMENDATION
That the application be Refused for the following reasons: -
1 The proposed development would result in the substantial demolition of a Grade II listed building within a Conservation Area. "
My point was that only hull would conserve a bomb site

Hull has more undeveloped bomb sites untouched since the war than any other UK city.
