I agree you can't replace class players like Dobson and Galea, but I wouldn't say we've been lucky with injuries. Starting the season with an injured Cooke and losing 3 starting props from our rotation is hardly being lucky with injuries. Granted, things could be a lot worse but we have a good squad to deal with it. I just don't think Hull FC have strength in depth to be a top 4 side.

I don't think Hull FC have a 1st choice starting 17 to be a top 4 side irrespective of injuries, likewise I don't think rovers have if everyone at every club was fit

Very much so. Recruitment and retention in recent years has resulted in what we have today - an average mid table squad. The next round of recruitment is critical - have we learned from our mistakes or not ?
