Sad we can't give him the send off he so richly deserves. Great player who produced moments of brilliance that will never be forgotten.

On his day he's probably the best individual entertaining halfback I've seen in Hull colours, without his injuries early in his career and some shall we say off the field stuff he could have gone on to be a great within the NRL.
That said I'm glad to have had the chance to see him in the flesh playing for us doling out punishment to the opposition with some mesmerising tries that very few in the sport could produce.
Good luck to him whatever that might be.

Toughest tackling halfback I've seen in my time

I always though Rich Horne tackled well above his weight, Fred ah Kuoi wasn't exactly light in the tackle either.

Loved watching him in the black and white.
Been watching since ‘78 and I’d put him in my all time team. Hardest hitting half back I’ve seen play for us.

Best memories are that try at the DW in 2017 when he beat about eight tacklers, they just couldnt knock him down - also coming off the bench for the second half last year in the home derby. Totally dominated the game and ran rings around the Rovers defence.

That derby performance will live long in the memory
