Wakefield will be tons better next year than last imo. Look at the players we have brought in (and are rumoured to be) in comparison to what Trinity have been putting out last season. It would be very hard to be as bad as that.

You have wasted a lot of time typing an irrelevent point. As dboy points out odds are based on how the bookies think the bets will be spread. It's absolutely nothing to do with squads or opinions about players. Based on last year more people will bet on Cas, remember not all punters are RL fans they simply go on form.



This gets explained every year, yet every year some take it personal. The bookies have no problem with where we or Cas finnish so long as they have spread the bets and covered the odds.



The reason Widnes are bottom is because not many punters will bet on a team with no form at all - I doubt that would alter much even if they signed Jonathon Thurston.



Not everything is about us and not everyone is out to get us - bookies are a business and have no interest in optimism.

Fair point,a lot of us widnes fans know the challenge ahead aint going to be easy and are not over the moon about betts,Little bit like some of you over agar.And i think its all building up between us and yourselfs as main rivals for position.

Think the Frogs are the E/W value mesen, if they get some consistency and manage to get the home play off tie when it counts I think they could potentially take some beating and worth a punt at those kind of odds.



If Huddersfield could play the last 3rd of a season like they play the first 2/3rds then they could be in with a shout but I would want more than the prices offered as it seems to be something fundamentally wrong for it to keep happening.

The biggest problem for both teams is that expectation will be high for a team that really hasn't played together or for the new coach. On paper we have some good players. But no one knows how they will play yet.

You guys have made some decent signings. It depends how many from last years team still play.



I'll enjoy finding out.
