| Quote MHL="MHL"plenty of players have cracked bailey "good and proper" the point you lot (and plenty of other teams fans) miss is the fact that bailey gets up and plays on, the 'hero' gets to watch the game for the sideline for 10 mins or the rest of the game. who's the real winner?
bailey (and his team mates) knows that they're playing a team sport where taking one for the team, quite literally on many occasions, is all part of coming out on top.
I'm stating he'll will get targeted, the fact it was his first red card, makes it even worse. he's shown every coach in the league that he's come over here thinking he's better than everyone else (which is a great attitude to have btw) however he couldn't actually handle the attention of been targeted. whether he reacts the same way again or not is up to him, and to a certain extent relatively pointless, but it'll certainly affect his game as every team will target him - extra men in the tackle, sly digs, off the ball extras, etc.
now you're just being stupid, i can guarantee that bailey will have a dig the very first tackle they're both involved in next game, to the extent that bailey will go out of his way to get involved in the tackle even if he's not required.'"
See my previous post; I absolutely guarantee that you're a) crediting Bailey with way more intelligence than he actually has and b) reading far too much into this situation.
It's Christmas - go watch a film or something!

Leeds have always traditionally had a friendly at headingley on boxing day and used to play Fax til they went down. If wakefield wanted one at BV Leeds would look to invite another team I guess.

| How can they always traditionally have had a friendly on Boxing Day?
Summer rugby has only been going since mid 90,s.
Before then the traditional league match was Leeds v Wakefield.
The reason it was at Leeds was the under soil heating, which guaranteed the game going ahead.

Sorry, I'm sure you didn't mean to be pedantic but 'always' was pretty loose, since the last 16 years then, I think that qualifies as long enough.

So let me get this right.
Bailey is a great player because he minces around putting sly digs into players who usually can't defend themselves.
After 10 years of this he is still untouchable and is never warned let alone penalised by weak refs.
Because of this all opposition players should simply allow him to carry on - no matter what the personal cost to them and fellow team mates.
Any player who defends themselves has been sucked in by his genius and is a hot head.
That is what you are saying?
This is the manifesto of an idiot, you do realise that.
Bailey got what he deserved and I will bet you 20 quid that Mr covert genius will not attempt the same trick next time - not now he knows the pain that will be inflicted. You see the one thing the Bailey's of this world don't like is the cold steel - I reckon a sudden calf injury will see that those two won't face each other again, no points for guessing who's calf.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if you actually believed this.
There is nothing covert or genius about it, Bailey does the same thing that prop forwards have been doing as long as the game has been played. If he needs to take a punch to help his team, he will do it. If he can cause someone else to lose their rag, all the better, its what props do. If Bailey was scared of pain he wouldnt have lasted 10 minutes as a top flight RL player, never mind 10 years.

Of course I do, it's the truth - a bit of a stranger to you.
Bailey taking a punch for his team mates, yeah right - normally he's beating up the little guys, he didn't realise he'd hit a big kid. If Bailey ever goes on the same pitch as Poore this season I will be amazed - I see a sick note coming.
Justin really has upset your little universe.

Little guys like Luke O’donnell? Or Adrian Morley? Or James Graham?
Bailey has been on pitches, and run it in time and time again, for 10 years, against bigger, badder, uglier and better players than Justin bloody Poore

So you continue to believe Bailey is "The Shadow", okay good luck with that.
And most importantly, please tell me these long list of players who have cracked Bailey, because over years of watching him play, he's in peoples faces, giving the sly dig, as people say usually to the smaller players, and when push comes to shove hes generally at the back of the pack staring people out.
Someone else stated it, but how Bailey isn't Super League Referees #1 target, I do not know. Luck only lasts so long.
Now I am just being stupid? Im looking forward to our next meet up and to see if Bailey has the brain, or the bottle to go as far as he did next time. He started the fight, lost the fight, but did not get red carded, thats both a fact and terrible refereeing decision. Now if Bailey starts when a good ref is on the field, I can assure you mastermind genius Ryan Bailey will be taking an early shower.
