Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. | Quote Shifty Cat="Shifty Cat"Eh? Elston said this
You think there's something wrong with that do you, taking the mickey, really? Glover also said it was a great game and said how far we've come, can't see what you're problem is tbh because their right we have come along way since last year, even taking into consideration that we lost. I'm also pig sick we lost but come on no need to overreact.
What position are we in now exactly? I'd have thought we're about where we should be going on the squad we have. Some fans really have got a bit ahead of themselves for some reason.'"
For me it's not the position we are in, it's the way we play. Almost every match has 'brainfarts' as one poster put it, dozens of them. I don't expect perfection. I accept we have come a long way compared to 18 months ago off the pitch, and a little way compared to 18 months ago on it. I truly believe we could be doing better than we are. I said 8th was realistic at the season start and I still think 8 to 10th is where we ought to be...but it is the dropped passes, alarming defensive lapses, crazy plays, bad kicks, passes across your own posts time after time etc etc...fundamental; and fire away that I'm an old moaner, but pro players ought, at least, be able to get very basic RL things right. So..yes, I'm pleased with our progress, but no, I'm not at all happy with how we play.

| Quote charlie63wildcat="charlie63wildcat"I wasn't there but it doesn't sound like I need to be, that's the story of our season. I have been criticised on here for being negative but the same idiotic errors over and over again, repeated match after match, shows systemic disease to me. Yes, the comeback Vs Hull was very exciting but the mess we found ourselves in, in that game was all of our own doing. Nothing will change whilst Mr Agar is in charge, I am positive of this'"
I've seen enough in the last 4 games and in the games at the start of the season to be reasonably content with how the season is now panning out. I can't see us finishing bottom and I reckon we are building a decent platform to build on next season. Agar must be as frustrated as we are when Mathers spills the ball in his own 20 or when Amor, I believe it was, knocks on from the kick off. I had a grumble halfway through the season but the signs for me are that we are turning it round and there could well be more to come from this team. If nothing else I personally have rediscovered a little bit of the buzz for the game.

My god, 3 straight wins and a loss by 4 points in the defending champions back yard and your moaning like a damn wildebeast!
It's not perfect by any means, but if you had actually been bothered to peel yourself out of your armchair and actually attend the match, you would have seen some superb attacking play, a few monster hits and plenty of creativity from pretty much all departments of the side. Instead you don't attend and wax lyrical about the teams failings based on replays.
You mention in a previous post that the schoolboy errors will be a feature of our game until Agar goes. Perhaps it had crossed your mind that it's not Agar dropping the ball under the sticks or throwing passes into touch? Perhaps not.
Lighten up, get behind the team and start giving credit where it's due as well as criticizing and you may not come across as such a doom n gloom merchant!

| Well since Sykes went to half back we can at least be creative and score trys all we need now is to stop letting them in.

Depends on whether you're talking Outwood Wildebeest or kettlethorpe (though latter are - technically- more Gnu, one suspects).

I think it's more when they're dying, but still - can't fault a man for whipping out a simile now and again!
