Hardly be a swap deal, hes been sacked. It will take a transfer fee to get Obst and to be honest I'd have thought a club like FC would be setting their sights a little higher than Sam excuse the pun.

Thornley would be a great signing, he's big, fast and physical and like most Wigan Academy products of late, he also has a good grounding in the fundamentals of the game.
Sam Powell is the current England Academy scrum half, he's 18 years old and contracted to Wigan for at least another 2 years so it must be a loan signing.

Can't see Thornley joining as he went to sale a few months back.I wonder if Josh charnley could be a possible loan signing though as he's not made the wigan 19 this weekend and is more than ready for super league on what i've seen. |

Hopefully the new ownership now means that Kear can progress with the planned signings. Mr Glovers interview did not mention anything about possible strengthening of the team, his only comment was that "the playing staff would be staying as they are" or something similar.
Obviously I am grateful for him saving the club, but hope that there will be some strentghening of the team to come, otherwise some of the new found optimism will diminish rapidly.

dont know who we will get with the season just starting,unless the owners want to chuck some money about. could go for wardle and raleigh on loan from shudds if theyre not playing 1st team |
