me it was mine, unfortunately he parked it in such a way that it was an obstruction and I had to repark it. Having not passed my test at the time it was a gamble to get behind the wheel but hell I was only going to back it up about 4 yards.



Next thing I know the lamp post outside the house is laying flat on the ground, thanks to a Norris Coleesque neighbour the police quickly arrived and I got done for no licence, no insurance and had to pay £160.00 for a new lamp post.

Sue...sorry to hear of your misfortune...I was on nights on Thursday, and we were busy just up the road in Woodlesford where 2 cars were stolen from an address, along with another one from Great Preston. Due to some excellent teamwork, we recovered all 3 within a couple of hours, and even managed to get one of the thieving little scumbags locked up. Unfortunately we were not aware of your motors going walk-about. I am assuming that they got in by snapping the lock on the patio-doors ?? This is the favourite trick at the moment, and is all too easy to do unfortunately... as TRB can also testify !!!!

The best crime prevention advice I can offer people (a bit late for you Sue I know), is ALWAYS set the alarm on a night (if you have one obviously !!), put the car in the garage if you can, and take the car keys upstairs with you, 'cos without them, they cannot drive your car away !!

And if you're big and ugly enough leave a note in the kitchen saying "car keys upstairs, come and get them if you dare!"
