| Quote Sandal Wild Cat="Sandal Wild Cat"But you can't do jack with The Jungle mate, not until the Hicksons site is safe.
The loan from the council is dependent on you moving, so you have to sell the jungle.
Sponsorship? Well you tell me but IMO if RW had got sponsorship i'm sure he would have had a massive song and dance about it.
Yes Waystones may have spent money, the vast majority being the land clearance and leveling, which they would have had to do were they going to build a stadium or a supermarket.
Nothing has changed in 5 years mate, why would it now?
It's not just a river in Egypt mate.'"
Yes and Wakey Council are trying to push through the clearing of the Hickson's Licence quickly because it affects the whole redevelopment of the town, not just The Jungle. That will free up The Jungle and unlock the money from that.
I can keep repeating all this until I'm blue, if I have to and you can keep chatting rubbish to solve your own insecurities.

I'd give it a rest if I was you, you really are becoming a laughing stock. Get out of the hole before you get buried completely. Unlike some of your Cas mates what are putting up reasonable debate you are just embarassing them with your silly rants' and excuses'.

never was gloating.
Just sick of reading about the disappointment of all the fans on both forums who seem constantly discouarged and disillusioned with all the announcements coming from the clubs.
On tuesday the reaction on the Cas site was excitement and then disappointment. i do not like seeing any fans going through this and hope it would get sorted sooner rather than later so they have something to cheer.
i would like both teams to get decent stadiums so i can take my youngest kids to watch the games there.
like everyone else hoped it would get sorted and still think that groundsharing would have meant that you both would have had something concrete in place by now.
Although after the responses i got i think i should not have bothered.

| Exactly how much further would the Glasshoughten scheme be if Trinity were involved? There may have been an extra £1m or so from the sale of BV to throw in but nowhere near the amount to cover a shortfall that appears to be the stumbling block for Castleford. Also the Thornes Park Sports Village would still have collapsed with Cas on board leaving both clubs in the position that Wakefield find themselves in now.
The council can't afford to put in any money in other then the public facilities that may be located at the ground (i.e. a swimming pool) so they couldn't have put anything into a joint stadium.
I don't see how pooling resources would've made construction of any stadium quicker.

Surely any private investors would have thought the ground would be full for 27 games, income from the stadium would have been doubled PA, more political will to make things work rather than Cas and Wakey councillors figting their own corner, possibly some support from the RFL ( i am sure you would have been guaranteed an international game or two maybe even a cup semi, one set of architects, potential builders etc.
For me the issue is not which site that is up to the clubs., just the general principle

Doesn't help either club re. the SL criteria point for turnover though. Who would get the income from use of the stadium for other activities during the week etc. Splitting it would only dilute the amount of revenue either club could possibly generate.

I'm basing it on what i read in the press, the story about the development looking to be done in phases due to the difficulty in finding the funding. Richard Wright attributed this to the recession. I'm happy to be corrected if this is not the case anymore.

But maybe we have got the finances, we just don't have access to it at the moment - i.e. obstacles in the way - which means we have to do it in phases. Doesn't necessarily indicate a shortfall.
