WITH Hyde you lot jumped on the band wagon against cas he had a great 10 min spell but that is all he as shown. IF we would have had rangi chase then we would have won by 40 today. We have a SCRUM HALF that doesnt pass, kick well or tackle. We need a scrum half a.s.a.p as the likes of mariano, king, korki , morrison , hendo, AMOUR etc are busting a bleeding gut and you have a end product of tripe. Lee looks ok he will be a player. Hyde will be ok in a few years but as of now he is a poor excuse of a scrum half.aND THIS WILL COST US AT THE END OF THE YEAR MARK MY WORDS !!!!!! SORT IT OUT NOW IF WE GET A SCRUM HALF WE WILL BE IN THE 8 IF NOT WE WILL REACH A BATTLING 10TH.

Although a little strongly put you're not far wrong. I said at the game today put a couple of experienced good players in our side and we're not far away from being a very decent team. These lads have heart and passion but sometimes you need a little bit more. If we don't sign anyone then all I can say is get behind these lads anyway as they will do us proud and I think they've shown already they have passed our pre season expectations

However he is correct. A few organised attacking structures with dummy runners wouldn't go amiss either. I think Lee and Hyde are made to look worse with a dreadful lack of options. The negative tactics were awful yesterday.

Our kicking game is terrible and was even worse yesterday. Hyde should not be allowed to kick ever as he has a ratio of one decent kick to 10 awful ones. Our kicking for touch from penalties is shocking most of the time we'd be better off taking a tap. It was that bad yesterday that our pathetic attempts at drop goals actually looked the same as our general kicks. Massive credit must go to our forwards who kept us in the game despite a complete lack of field position. Surely it must be time to give Moore a go as, at the very least, he is meant to have a decent kicking game.

Kicking first half was actually good considering the wind we actually did ok. Second half we got this idea that we would be able to get a few forty twenty's using this wind. What we did didn't sopt is Cas actually stacked that side to stop us doing this. A good half would have spotted this and looked for the wholes elswhere.

We kicked down their throats for pretty much the whole game. We only tried one high kick all game crazy considering the windy conditions.

We have a scrum half he couldnt play yesterday.



As for the kicking game I thought we were kicking too early on the 3/4 tackle, Cas had us in our 10 in the first half with the elements, we gifted them 20 metres on that constantly in the second.



Thought the lads played their hearts out Cas came to try and muscle us out but that failed, Chase I thought was owned in the first half (motm no way)



We had a few brain farts but with a little more composure the game was there for the taking. A couple of key moments in the first 80 cost us dear but hey thats the game, in sport like this you are scrutinised for 80 minutes and destroyed for an error, how many of us make mistakes every day. Get over it and move on. I would much rather watch these lads who are trying like mad and have a great bond than what I have seen on occasions at BV.



As for Cas they took the chances we gifted it by going for the DG into the elements instead of playing territorial percentage rugby hunting a mistake IMHO

No we could have won if Jeffries had played...depending which one turned up!! It was not a certainty and that was the problem with him.

Yes - one that could be very good, one that couldn't be 'rsd. Unfortunately, we usually got the second one.

Yep we would have won that game with Jeffries in the team. The decision to release him has proven to be a very costly one. He was more than happy to stay but it seems we decided to get him off the wage bill for the rest of the year. That decision has just cost us more in lost gate receipts from the next round. And with it probably our best hope of persuding the RFL to give us another licence. The new regime has made its first mistake and its a big one.

Jeffries may or may not have made the difference yesterday, but in his time in SL there is no evidence to say he definitely would’ve.

Evidence yet again that we rate players and back them more when they have left than while they are actually playing for us.

Anyway time to give Gareth Moore a go and see if he's up to it.

Apparently not, who knew we had a match winner on the books for all that time.

Some of us have been saying all year that he was our best halfback but don't let that get in the way of your sly digs.

Given that he was our only half back I would have to agree. Lets hope Moore gets a run out soon.
