Quote ="TALLYWACKER62"I was talking to someone from the club earlier on in the season about the hkr match away. When willie watched the tape, think wakey had 3 knocked off forward passes & kr had 2 allowed from forward passes. He asked ganson to watch the tape who admitted all 5 decisions were wrong, are tries ok hkr tries forward when asked what would happen said ref would be dropped following week. when willie asked if that was it, his reply was, if one of your players had a shocker you would drop him the following week. so yes they do ask about decisions but this might explain everyones frustrations'"
That is likely all they can do but that’s because there’s not enough depth in officials or investment in the infrastructure/training they fall into. I’ve said it before but you get what you pay for and for a professional sport I would dread to think the level of investment we have in the officials and the process behind them. You would think there would be some plans to create a better functioning system.
Just another thing for IMG to sort out and restructure I guess. At least the reigns have been handed to an organisation that probably has a clue how to plan and actually put things in motion.
On another side note, I do hope we keep challenging the officiating and document it after every game for reference. It would certainly build up an accurate picture of whether the fault lies with the officiating or the players discipline on the whole.
