just watched the scholarship game... its great now that these games are being uploaded quickly and are really good quality video.
For the first time (possibly as a Trinity fan) I am really optimistic about the future of the game in the UK and really excited about the next decade as a trinity supporter. These kids ... and every k=level up to first team squad are really well coached and they understand the game so well. really really good!!
hard to pick out individuals in an all round team but obviously the hooker Smith has some x factor to his game... nice to see some beefy middles all with big engines and the second row pairing looked decent. Have to comment about young Brough... at times he looks disinterested, almost embarrassed especially when he's kick goals (which he is very good at) ... I felt like I wanted to be critical but then he went on a loping weaving run through the middle of the Hull defence and there was the talent... almost reminded me of a young Allan Hunte in running style.
lots of developing to do but this rugby league club are doing the basics now so very well...
thank you Trinity the sleeping giant is slowly stirring!!
It was an enjoyable night and again great to see a number of year 1 scholars playing/making their debut and in one case scoring.
The standard of opposition last night was in truth way below that of what I would expect from a Hull side but at the end of the day you can only beat what is in front of you.
Really impressed with all the lads and it is noticeable that our pack have great hands compared to some of the opposition who are very one dimensional.
